It was so good

Very good, though it does drag a bit, and after a while it gets a little boring because it repeats itself somewhat.

I still cant get over Maomao jumping in front of that bronze plate to save Jinshi like that. The way the hairpin got scratched made me so sad because it was the only nice thing she kept from him

it was more about slow burn intrigue than action but it builds the story beautifully and yes that frog scene was awkward & funny ! maomao being very 'her' . Calm episode with more talking and tension than action

Anime combines different genres in the best way possible. Mainly it's a detective anime mixed with romance going on between main characters, which I absolutely love.

I don't have much to say (because I'm rating this after watching it, but I watched it in the middle of the year - around - and read the manga instead) but I think I liked this intro and outro better then season one. And my favourite character somehow shifted from Mao Mao to Lakan (lol)

This episode is where the season's central mystery begins to take shape and the fact that someone might be targeting pregnant consorts is a terrifying prospect, and the show's subtle approach makes it even more chilling. Maomao's new friendship with Shisui is great she finally has someone besides Xiaolan to share her weird interests with and the scene where she sniffs all the clothes is peak Maomao chaos.

This is the perfect premiere, It eases you back into the world with a gentle, nostalgic, and incredibly cute episode , the comedy is sharp as ever, the central scene where Maomao describes a cat's appeal while unknowingly describing herself is peak Jinshi torture. He's absolutely hopelessly in love with her, and she has no idea . But there are also hints of bigger things to come. The mysterious girl who helps catch the cat, the foreign envoys arriving with a caravan, and the ongoing tension with Lady Loulan all suggest darker mysteries ahead . For now, though, this is a welcome, heartwarming return to one of the best anime of recent years and I would recommend for watch.
