This is one of those really exciting anime series that delves into the world of pharmaceuticals. It's full of interesting information, and the characters are memorable too. It's a refreshing watch. The blend of elements works perfectly as they are executed so well, creating a solid dynamic between the characters. The storytelling is polished, and the mystery is cleverly handled, keeping me hooked right through to the end of each episode.

Who knew a stray cat could say so much about everyone involved? Maomao's method of feeding her was equal parts ingenious and tender. Jinshi realizing Maomao is basically a cat herself might be the softest character moment of the season.

The new season started really well. The pacing feels just right it’s not rushed like the first season. There are new characters being introduced, and the story still keeps its signature comedic vibe. Since Episode 1 has a very calm tone, it seems like some chaos is about to unfold in the up coming episodes? Hmm..

Like before, not a big fan of chinese themed anime. Now it goes down with the plot. It's good. Maomao back at it again! Can't take my eye off the adorable princess T_T.

As one who has only been familiar with the manga, this show is a perfect example on how to adapt an anime correctly. You can tell that they didn't try to overdo or undersell their source material. It also has that familiar wholesome feel, balancing the serious tone coming after.

The season opens strong with Maomao immediately thrown into another mystery. The poison-related setup is classic, but the palace politics feel heavier this time. The pacing is tight and the tone is more serious than before.

Maomao is back and still super sharp 😆 I like how Maomao and Jinshi bounce off each other again. The vibe feels chill but something is brewing. The little details in daily life are fun to watch!

Interesting way to start the new season! The animation is beautiful as ever and the pacing feels cozy yet feels interesting. I like Xiolan's energy to learn a new thing! Excited for upcoming episodes. P. S: cute, tiny character is introduced 🥰

Maomao being a businesswoman. She so very mature discussing marital things without green thoughts purely for education and profit. She was so cute nursing the kitten, showing maternal vibe. Also our little princess's cuteness adds entertainment in this episode.

This episode eases back into the palace with a calm but slightly unsettling vibe, reminding you that nothing here is ever as simple as it looks. Maomao’s sharp observations and dry attitude make even the smallest moments entertaining though

I could not stop laughing at the face Maomao makes when she looks at Jinshi because his sparkles mean absolutely nothing to her and she just wants to go play with her poisons in peace
