Red Garden

Like what everyone's saying, this episode has a calm before the storm type of vibe. Despite the Christmas season and overall positive atmosphere with the characters in the episode (save for probably Lise), the air is heavy at the same time. That's because the girls know what waits for them after they complete their mission. Seeing the girls reconnect with their friends and family was wholesome, but also feels hollow. Having that lighthearted and somber tone was intertwined really well in this episode. For that reason, I really loved this episode, despite the slow pacing and no fight scenes.

This episode went in for sure! First, we were greeted with some wholesome moments with Rose and Claire, which were really heartwarming to see them being happy. Then everything just went south, with everyone fighting, bodies flying, and blood pouring. Just when I finally got everything understood about Animus and the war itself, we're now greeted to another twist at the end. It was emotionally heavy, fast-paced, and brutal. Another fantastic episode!

The beginning part of the episode was pretty chaotic, to say the least. It was fast-paced, frantic, and bloody. Afterwards, the episode again shows the girls struggling with their personal lives. With what they went through in the series along with their destined fate, they all have a heavy burden. It's a similar atmosphere to what we've seen in the last few episodes. The last part of the episode shows something is cooking up now. Let's see where things go from here.

It's good to see the girls bonding again and trying to be optimistic, despite knowing what will happen to them eventually. That's something I needed to see again. On the other hand, there's also tragic vibes. Seeing Lula cry for the first time somehow hits hard. The voice acting really sold the emotional pain for me. And then there's the ending, because oh boy, it's getting pretty ugly now. Emotionally heavy episode all around!

This anime really doesn't show any mercy. First we have the girls having to come to terms with a shocking revelation. Then, we have Herve who at this point is in complete despair regarding his situation. The way the characters showed their emotions in this one is powerful, particularly Herve and Rose. It's not really action-packed like the last one, but it still feels heavy with everything going on right now. I can only wish things will eventually get better for them!

Wow, this episode just elevated the volume up to eleven, probably twelve. The whole episode is an emotional boat ride, with all the main characters going through a lot with their lives right now. Sadness, anger, panic, you name it. If that's not enough, we're treated to an insane finale as the chef's kiss. I was in awe when I watched the episode and I loved every minute of it. It'll be tough for the remaining episodes to follow up, because this one is peak for me!

Sorrow and Anger is right. I definitely felt Herve's emotional pain in this episode. I've always been sympathetic towards him despite being the enemy, but this episode just took it to a whole other level. Poor Kate also appears on the verge of breaking down as well in this episode. The end just culminated into a whole slew of emotions, mainly anger and shock. I've waited for some sort of build up and it paid off. An absolutely amazing episode!

Wow, talk about a bombshell. I assumed Paula protected Kate this whole time just because she's a real good friend. This episode showcases she's more than meets the eye. We're also finally seeing Rose step up after being scared for so long. Thank goodness too because I was getting annoyed by her at this point, but finally, some redemption! A lot of development in this episode, and it's one of my favorites so far.

That escalated quickly. The girls were busy with school life and then it just jumps to them into battle with the monsters. It also shows some crazy developments happening within Herve's organization. I'm glad that they elevated the intensity in this episode. As more important secrets are being revealed, it looks like things are also heating up now. I'm looking forward to seeing how everything goes from here!

A pretty lighthearted episode, we're seeing all the girls bonding again, talking about relationships mostly. The conversation was brief, but it was great seeing them having a good time for a change. From what way the episode was going, things were finally looking up for the main characters, though that mood soured a bit in the last minutes. Herve's arc is also getting interesting; I wasn't expecting the dynamic between Kate and him to work well here, but it did. A complex, but good episode nonetheless!

In this one, we're seeing some emotional flare-ups happening, primarily with Kate and Rachel. Their duties to kill monsters late at night have taken toll on their schooling and their personal lives. On the other hand, things appear to be looking up for Claire now. I felt bad for her in the last few episodes, but here, we finally see her happy, which is a sigh of relief. The last few minutes gets tense, seeing as there's a twist at the end. Another emotional episode with that they went through in this one!

The pacing picks up quite a bit here. This one shows the girls now training and conditioning, pretty much fully accepting their roles as monster hunters (no switch axes, dual blades, or the like, unfortunately). We also find more about these monsters and the shocking revelation about them. Although the episode did drag on a bit, it does get crazy in the last several minutes. Still a solid episode, but I do hope to see some real action soon!

We're finally seeing some important secrets being revealed in this episode, such as who the girls are really going up against. There's also a surprising twist at the end. Beyond that, it was mostly the girls and Herve again going about their daily lives, despite the stakes for both sides. The episode does appear to focus more on Claire and her struggle to have a normal life. I sympathize with her a lot in this episode. Overall, though, it was pretty slow and mundane.

I don't think this finale would've hit nearly as hard if the show hadn't spent so much time building up its characters first. The action is great, but what stuck with me was how emotional everything felt by the end. It's one of those endings that feels earned instead of just trying to be shocking, and I honestly sat there for a minute after the credits rolled.

The calm before the storm episodes usually don't do much for me, but this one absolutely nailed it. Watching everyone spend time with the people who matter to them made everything feel so... real. You can practically feel the anxiety hanging over the whole episode because everyone knows what's coming.

Okay this is where the slow burn really cashes out. There are so many characters moving at once, secrets coming to the surface, and everyone scrambling toward the same goal. It sounds like it'd be a mess, but somehow everything clicks. I was stressing the whole episode.

The second someone starts digging for answers, you already know nothing good is coming out of it. 😭 I love how the mystery finally starts pushing everyone into action instead of just confusion. The tension keeps climbing but it never feels forced, it just feels inevitable.

I actually loved that the show slowed things down here. After everything that's happened, watching the girls finally stop and think about what kind of future they even want felt surprisingly emotional. Meanwhile, you can tell things are quietly moving behind the scenes, and that uneasy feeling never really goes away. Red Garden really knows how to make a "calm" episode feel anything but calm.

I love when an anime can completely shift your perspective without needing some huge flashy moment. This episode is basically people talking... and somehow I was more invested than during some of the action episodes. That's just good writing.

Okay NOW we're cooking. Every conversation suddenly feels like it matters and the bigger picture starts coming into focus without spoon feeding everything. I was glued to the screen the whole time because it felt like literally anything could happen next.
