Yeah... this escalated FAST. I like that the girls completely freak out instead of magically adapting after one fight. The horror feels way more uncomfortable because everyone looks like they're barely holding themselves together.
After the confusing first episode, this one sheds some light as to what's going on in this world, as well as with the main characters. Along with that, this is also the first time we see them fighting for their lives. The fight is pretty frightening, and the dark setting enhances that mood. The pacing was pretty slow though and there were some parts that dragged a bit too long. Pretty good episode though, and now I want to see more of this world!
The pacing is definitely too slow for me and the characters are a bit annoying (maybe because the tone is more grounded than other animes). I do want to know more about the supernatural side of the worldbuilding but only because the personal lives of the girls are boring to me. I have to say, the art style is cool, I like the variety it has in facial features.
