The pacing picks up quite a bit here. This one shows the girls now training and conditioning, pretty much fully accepting their roles as monster hunters (no switch axes, dual blades, or the like, unfortunately). We also find more about these monsters and the shocking revelation about them. Although the episode did drag on a bit, it does get crazy in the last several minutes. Still a solid episode, but I do hope to see some real action soon!

I love that the show lets the characters question everything instead of just accepting whatever they're told. You can feel the trust slowly cracking, and once that starts happening every conversation suddenly feels important. The tension is so low key but so good.

I was wondering if they'd bring back the lemon thing and they did. Also, Clair is particularly unlikable this episode, I get that she's in a dire situation but I feel like the writers are making unnecessary drama by having her fight with her friend.
