Ohayou sekai—Good Morning World! The latest and final part of Dr. Stone: Science Future (Season 4) officially premiered on April 2, 2026. This is exciting news for fans, as we can finally witness Senku Ishigami and his team fly to the moon and uncover the remaining mysteries of Dr. Stone. Since this is the final part, it promises to reveal every secret, but it is also a fairly heavy chapter for everyone as the characters are intensely focused on the moon trip, making for a high stakes conclusion to the journey.

While Dr. Stone may seem like a "fans-only" anime that is too difficult for newcomers because its world looks so complicated, it is actually a fun and exciting journey. If you follow the tremendous path of Senku Ishigami and his team, you will definitely be amazed by these teenagers; they are incredibly positive, full of dreams, and most importantly willing to do everything to accomplish every wish they have.

As a fan of Dr. Stone and someone who has finished the manga, I find it sad when people stop watching just because it seems complicated or hard to understand. In this post, I want to share what Senku has achieved on his amazing journey—how he built everything from zero to accomplish the ultimate dream: flying to the moon! Although I won’t share manga-only information and will focus on the anime, there will be some anime spoilers since I'm discussing Senku’s path. If you aren't caught up with the latest episodes or want to avoid spoilers entirely, stop scrolling and leave now!

What you need to know about Dr. Stone: Dr. Stone Correct Watch Guide

Before diving deep into Senku’s amazing journey, let me share something many people are curious about: the Dr. Stone watch guide. While I understand why people feel they need a guide, especially since there are so many episodes, Dr. Stone actually follows a straightforward seasonal order.

Unlike big titles like One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, and Dragon Ball, there isn't any season or part of Dr. Stone that you can skip. Dr. Stone is quite similar to Kingdom and Golden Kamuy; you need to follow the exact order, otherwise you won’t be able to follow or even understand the story. The correct and only watch order for Dr. Stone is: Dr. Stone Season 1, Dr. Stone Season 2, Dr. Stone: Ryusui, Dr. Stone Season 3: New World, and finally, Season 4: Science Future.

Dr. Stone: Ryusui is a one-hour television special. While it might look like a skippable episode, if you are an anime-only viewer who hasn't read the manga, it is absolutely essential. This is because Dr. Stone: Ryusui introduces the most important character, Ryusui Nanami, explains the current situation of Senku’s team, and most importantly, shows us how Ryusui impacted and helped the team grow even further.

Speaking of the seasonal order for Dr. Stone, Season 3: New World actually contains two parts, while Season 4: Science Future is divided into three parts. The anime is currently airing the third and final part of Season 4: Science Future. I truly understand that having so many episodes waiting for you can feel overwhelming; therefore, through this post, I hope to help everyone understand Senku’s journey and make it much easier for you to catch up on the latest episodes.

Dr. Stone Season 1: The Stones and Senku Ishigami

Everything happened so suddenly. While Senku was living his everyday life of scientific experiments and his best friend Taiju Oki was confessing to Yuzuriha Ogawa, a petrification beam turned everyone in the world into stone. No matter who you were, where you were, or what you were doing, the beam found you and ruthlessly turned you into a stone statue.

Everyone was turned into a stone statue, including Senku, Taiju, and Yuzuriha. It is definitely hard to be recovered from the stone statues, but it is not impossible; with the required ingredients, people can actually be revived. After 3,000-plus years, once the ingredients gathered, Senku was finally recovered from his stone statue.

While it is a great thing for the main character to recover, the world had changed dramatically after so many years. Everything humans had built had collapsed, and humans were no longer the rulers of the Earth. No matter how much knowledge Senku has, it is impossible for him to do everything himself, so he prepared everything and bet on recovering his best friend, Taiju. Although Taiju is not as clever as Senku, he has incredible physical strength; with Taiju’s power, Senku was able to do so much more, showing why he definitely needs Taiju.

After an incredible amount of trial and error, Taiju was finally revived! This was a great moment for Senku, as he could finally reunite with his best friend and accomplish so much more. However, reality was harsh; since humans had been turned into stone statues, they no longer ruled the world, and many dangerous animals roamed free. In order to survive the Stone World, Senku had no choice but to revive another person: the "Strongest High School Primate," Tsukasa Shishio. Reviving Tsukasa was a smart move for survival, as he could hunt down lions with his bare hands, but it also created a major problem. Tsukasa held completely different views from Senku, and neither was willing to make a concession for the other.

While Senku is a positive person who hadn't faced such harsh realities before, Tsukasa was different. Although still a teenager, Tsukasa had witnessed the "dirty" side of the old world; consequently, he wanted to create a new world without reviving any of the elders. Senku, however, wanted to revive everyone using the power of science. Neither of them was necessarily wrong—they simply held different views—but because they were unwilling to compromise, it led to a conflict where they had to use force to determine the winner.

Logically speaking, it was nearly impossible for Senku to win against Tsukasa since Tsukasa is so incredibly strong; luckily, Senku’s father, Byakuya Ishigami, had left several gifts behind for him. With the resources and legacy he received from Byakuya, Senku was able to form his own team and build a better life for the survivors. Through countless experiments, he eventually managed to recreate katanas, cup noodles, and even smartphones—all within the Stone Age.

In just the first season, Senku started his amazing journey and went through so much. Although he was all alone in the beginning, he was able to create his own team and reach a point where he changed everyone’s life with the power of science. Senku has done a great job, but since it is only Season 1, his journey is far from over. While Senku has been busy innovating, Tsukasa has also been building his own powerful team; now, both are preparing for the Great War that lies ahead.

Dr. Stone Season 1 is highly focused on Senku’s journey, and it is truly fun and amazing to watch. Although the series as a whole might feel overwhelming or difficult to understand at first, I strongly recommend that people watch at least the first season. Season 1 is all about Senku’s initial adventure, making it very easy to follow. Please believe me: once you start, you will definitely be invested in seeing who wins the Great War!

Here’s a great YouTube video worth checking out.

Dr. Stone Season 2: Science vs. Power

After all the preparation in Season 1, both Senku and Tsukasa are ready for war. While it is hard to believe, besides cup noodles, Senku even created cars and tanks to face Tsukasa's forces. Senku has prepared extensively, yet it is still difficult for him to overpower Tsukasa because Tsukasa is simply too strong. Remember, Tsukasa can defeat lions with his bare hands and has the formidable Hyoga Akatsuki by his side; winning through raw power alone is nearly impossible. Therefore, in order to weaken Tsukasa’s position, Senku comes up with a plan to win over Tsukasa’s men and turn them to his side.

No one wants war—not even the characters of Dr. Stone. Although Tsukasa is determined to fight, some of his team members aren't as committed, which gives Senku a chance to win them over. Among Tsukasa’s followers, Senku successfully recruits Ukyo Saionji and Nikki Hanada, who end up helping him tremendously. With Ukyo and Nikki on their side, Senku and his team are able to develop even more scientific weapons to use against Tsukasa, and the war truly begins.

Dr. Stone Season 2, "Stone Wars," focuses entirely on the conflict between Senku and Tsukasa. Because the whole season centers on this one event, it is one of the most intense seasons, and the war is portrayed brilliantly. Although Tsukasa is the antagonist, his views aren't necessarily wrong; like Senku, he is just a teenager full of dreams. This makes it hard for viewers to choose a side, as we don't want either of them to lose. It’s truly difficult to decide who to root for because, in the end, Tsukasa is also just a kid who has been hurt a lot by the old world.

To make the entire season even more interesting, "Stone Wars" doesn’t end by simply giving us a winner; it also delivers an amazing plot twist. I don’t want to spoil too much, but there is a turn of events in Season 2 that will definitely amaze you and change your perspective on Tsukasa. In the end, Tsukasa is a truly great person; although he held different views from Senku, he proved to be a true friend. Season 2 ended beautifully—it even made me cry! While the ending was sad, I am also quite excited for what comes next, as Senku finally has the ingredients he needs to begin preparations for his ultimate goal.

Dr. Stone Season 3: Inviting Ryusui and entering the New World

After finishing Season 2, "Stone Wars," we move into the next chapter. Dr. Stone: Ryusui and Dr. Stone Season 3: New World should be watched together; after watching the Ryusui special, you should dive directly into Season 3 since they are closely linked. To make it simple, you can think of the full experience as including Ryusui followed by New World Parts 1 and 2. This entire arc is quite long, as it introduces many new characters, and Senku’s journey has become significantly more dangerous.

With the talent and knowledge of the newcomer Ryusui, Senku and his team are now able to move into the next phase: preparing for Treasure Island. In order to fulfill his ultimate goals, Senku needs platinum. Based on the stories and legends Byakuya left behind, Senku knows that platinum can be found on a specific island, making it his next vital destination.

Logically speaking, traveling to another island isn't easy; Senku needed extensive preparations and electrical equipment. since everyone is still in the Stone Age, Senku always has to craft everything from scratch, and the process is never simple. There were even times when Senku had to pivot or adjust his original plans. After much trial and error, and with Francois (pronounced "Furansowa") joining the team, the path to Treasure Island began to reveal itself little by little.

Season 3 isn't just focused on preparation; there is plenty of action as well. Once the preparations were complete, Senku and his team divided into two groups and departed for Treasure Island. Those heading to the island expected it to be dangerous—since it is so isolated, anything could happen—so they even brought Hyoga along for protection. However, Treasure Island turned out to be much scarier and far worse than they had ever imagined.

Treasure Island is controlled by Ibara, a terrifying antagonist who possesses the ability to activate the petrification device. Since Senku is trying to solve every mystery behind the petrification to save humanity, Ibara becomes his natural enemy, and both sides engage in a fierce war on the island. Much like the previous seasons, the battles on Treasure Island are portrayed beautifully. Every scene of the war is so intense and exciting; since Ibara is such a terrible antagonist, we find ourselves rooting entirely for Senku's team this time. This really helps us stay focused and deeply invested in the story.

After the fierce war on Treasure Island, Senku and his team achieved a brilliant victory. As a result, Senku obtained the platinum he needed and successfully liberated the island. This was the best possible outcome; not only did he finish his preparations for the journey to the United States, but he was also able to revive a very important character. Much like the previous seasons, Dr. Stone Season 3 is a vital part of the story, as it expands on the mystery of the petrification beam and sets the stage for the team to finally head overseas.

Dr. Stone Season 4: An All-Out War in the United States and the Beautiful Adventure of Suika

After finishing Season 3, the next chapter in chronological order is Season 4, Dr. STONE: Science Future—the climax of the entire series. Having finished his preparations, Senku brings his elite team, including Hyoga, to the US to secure corn and ultimately mass-produce the revival fluid to save humanity. Although Senku has created incredible equipment and changed many lives by this point, he hasn't forgotten his final goal and remains willing to face every difficulty to achieve it.

Although Senku has some questionable personality traits—like lying to people to reach his goals and not always having the highest moral values—he possesses an amazing spirit and is willing to do whatever it takes for humanity. He truly just wants to help and isn't plotting anything evil; however, fate has now forced him to face a crisis far more dangerous than any before: an all-out war in the United States.

Upon reaching the United States, Senku and his team were initially thrilled to find immediate clues toward their goal. In order to mass-produce the revival fluid, Senku was searching for cornfields; he thought it would take significant time and effort, but amazingly, he found a location filled with signs that a massive cornfield was nearby. While they were happy at first, as they gathered more evidence, Senku, Tsukasa, and Hyoga realized a shocking fact: they had walked right into someone else's trap. Just as Tsukasa and Hyoga realized the danger and tried to get everyone moving, the elite sniper Stanley Snyder began his attack on Senku and his team.

The battles between Stanley and Senku’s team are incredibly intense. Senku uses every resource at his disposal, and fortunately, his team manages to gain a slight advantage. Before arriving in the United States, Senku hadn't really faced enemies who used science against him, which usually gave him the upper hand. This time, however, Senku is facing an opponent with weapons even more modernized than his own. He no longer holds the scientific advantage; in fact, he and his team are the ones amazed by the enemy’s superior weaponry.

Since Stanley and his partner, Dr. Xeno Houston Wingfield, focused all their efforts on the mass production of modern weaponry—unlike Senku, who diversified his inventions—it was nearly impossible for Senku to achieve a complete victory. Consequently, Senku’s team decided to kidnap Xeno and lure Stanley toward South America. The plan worked perfectly; with Xeno in Senku’s hands, Stanley had no choice but to follow their lead, as Xeno was his top priority. Although Stanley’s marksmanship is incredibly dangerous, he cannot compete with Senku in terms of scientific strategy. Thus, despite being at a physical disadvantage, Senku was able to manipulate Stanley’s movements according to his own plan.

After luring Stanley to South America, the all-out war between Senku’s group and Stanley’s elite team finally began. Logically speaking, the chances of Senku’s team winning were incredibly low; however, because of Senku's experience with the "Medusa" petrification device, he developed a plan to turn Stanley and his men into stone statues. It was a perilous strategy that put Senku’s team in extreme danger, and Hyoga was even killed in the process. Fortunately, after enduring every possible hardship, Senku’s plan ultimately worked.

While Senku’s plan succeeded, they paid a staggering price for the victory. Stanley and his elite team were so powerful that even the combined strength of Tsukasa and Hyoga couldn't gain the upper hand. In this desperate situation, with people starting to die, Senku had no choice but to activate the petrification device globally. You didn't misread that: Senku turned everyone on Earth—including himself and his entire team—back into stone statues. This was a massive gamble, as he risked having to wait another 3,000 years to be revived. Fortunately, he won the bet, and Suika was the first to awaken.

After awakening, Suika immediately realized a terrifying truth: as the only human awake on Earth, she had to endure total loneliness and face the world all by herself. It was a harsh reality for such a young child, yet she stayed strong and attempted to craft the revival fluid on her own. After a tremendous amount of trial and error, Suika finally succeeded, successfully reviving Senku. Once Senku was back, it was only a matter of time before the rest of the team was restored as well. With Stanley and his elite team finally defeated, Senku is now free to unleash the full extent of his knowledge and begin preparations for his ultimate goal: traveling to the moon!
