yuki_onna_yuki_76★★★★☆EP 4I can not get over the fact that Arihito is still wearing a business suit in a fantasy world and it makes the bath scene with Theresia even funnier because he looks so out of place in that setting
After spending his whole life grinding away as a corporate slave, Arihito Atobe dies in a bus accident and gets reincarnated into a world where the grind is literal: exploring deadly labyrinths as an adventurer called a Seeker. But instead of picking a flashy DPS class, he ends up as a 'rearguard,' a support role nobody's heard of. Turns out, standing at the back of the party and buffing everyone's attack, defense, and recovery is absurdly effective. Oh, and it also makes his all-female party like him more just for being there. Because of course it does. The setup follows Arihito adjusting to the Labyrinth Country, building his team from scratch, and figuring out how his unique class actually works in combat. There's real tactical thinking here: fights aren't just about who hits hardest, they're about positioning, timing, and trust between party members. The show leans into that teamwork angle more than you'd expect from the premise. If you liked the party strategy and game-system depth of Log Horizon, or the grounded dungeon-crawling feel of Grimgar, Ashes and Illusions, this hits a similar spot. It's also got some of that underdog energy from The Rising of the Shield Hero, where the protagonist's unconventional class gets underestimated before proving its worth. The tone balances action sequences with lighthearted character moments: nothing too heavy, but the combat has enough stakes to keep things interesting. Maho Film is handling animation for this 2026 TV series adapted from the light novel.
This season covers Volumes 1-14 of the manga. Continue reading from Volume 15.

takerofsouls321★★★☆☆EP 4Theresia walking into the men's bath to wash his back was such a bold move and then she just faints because she is a lizard and cannot handle the steam
connie_comrade★★★☆☆EP 4I think it is hilarious that Arihito is still fighting monsters in a full business suit and he really needs to find some actual armor before a dragon shreds those expensive pants
diantha_329★★★☆☆EP 4Elitia finally explained why she can never put that sword down and it sounds like a nightmare but the group really rallied together to support her through that bloodlust curse
hylian_286★★☆☆☆EP 3Those Bergen guys were such generic villains and the way the Juggernaut moved looked so stiff during the whole fight sequence
zora_284★★★★☆EP 3Using that sling shot to hit the eye and set up Elitia for the kill was a great way to show how the rearguard class actually works, and that guild rank reveal at the end really raised the stakes for me. It feels like the story is finally moving past the basic orientation and into the real danger of the labyrinth.
misato_katsuragi★★★★☆EP 3It really got to me when Arihito promised to help Theresia become human again because it made that dinner scene feel so much more meaningful
bonnie★★★★☆EP 3Arihito hitting that eye shot with the sling was actually cool and the way Elitia just destroyed that Juggernaut after the buff was satisfying
ashiaraiyashiki★★★★☆EP 3The inner monologues are getting way too long and it would be better to see them actually fight the monsters instead of hearing Arihito think for three minutes straight
iris_cannary_171★★★★☆EP 3Another girl added to the group already and having Misaki call him big brother was a choice but at least the contribution points reveal was exciting

thekindneighbor★☆☆☆☆VerifiedEP 2i love women so much but watching this specific type of show with a massive gender ratio is just hilarious. the way the writer treats all these female characters is lowkey so questionable genuinely just feels like some weird incel fantasy and im disappointed in the overall vibes
homotron3799★★★☆☆VerifiedEP 2Watching this straight up INCEL FANTASY over and over again is getting so annoying. The basic ass plot is boring like what are they even doing.
vikuosatuomeru★★★☆☆EP 1
28181883★★★☆☆VerifiedEP 1the foundational premise relies entirely on highly generic transmigration tropes that fail to introduce any engaging narrative elements. observing such a basic isekai structure makes the overarching plot feel incredibly unintriguing. establishing this lackluster framework actively prevents the premiere from standing out structurally.
