Episode 7 of The World's Strongest Rearguard is a setup episode for a larger arc. The coalition dynamic adds some variety, and Arihito's role is more clearly defined, but the animation is still weak and the emotional beats don't land. If you're invested in the show's larger mystery, this episode moves the pieces into place. If you're not, it won't change your mind.
