The episode speaks about how lifeless anime is when it's simply generated by AI; it has no passion, much like the reviews for this episode currently. The plot makes complete sense for a person who took their time to watch the anime, and for a time-travel anime. I'm still pretty invested and engaged, and the end of this episode has me wondering what will come next. This anime is gonna end up worsening my trust issues with the number of traps though (T_T)

Honestly, it might feel completely ridiculous compared to episode 1, but if you just embrace the absolute absurdity of it all, it is wildly entertaining.

Having this under the stadium is an Akira reference, right?

Is this symbolism for why AI is bad as subtle as a brick to the face? Yes. Considering the world we live in, that's probably for the best.

This episode is an incredibly fun head trip. It's setting up one of the themes of the finales conclusion - that AI/LLMs cannot be truly imaginative (though these characters are aliens, and eventually develop imagination), while also weirdly also explaining how the time travel works.

Looks like she's already had a ripple effect on history.

I'm pretty sure the arrest is based on the original President of Gainax getting involved in tax fraud and ultimately getting arrested in 1999.

I'd forgotten they foreshadowed the temporal changes this early.

Love the parody of Decisive Battle was pretty funny.

Thing is, he's not entirely wrong about Windows - it did add at this point a layer of abstraction between the hardware and software, which started the spiral of software becoming less and less efficient in terms of how they use memory. That also doesn't mean Windows is bad either - having a GUI makes configuration much easier. Also, we have a new friend, and the time travel mechanism has fun and exciting ways to thwart showing new technology.

Nice little start to the series, though our protagonist is a little extra. I do like that all these games that appear as set dressing are real games.

Totally a top-notch anime for me, the end was beautiful, and it wasn't overly sweet. The writing was perfect, and the ending made sense because of it. More or less went according to my expectations in a round-about way.

The end was definitely something, and the action caught me off guard. This is a bit different from the plot I was envisioning and it. Kind of makes you wonder if this is gonna be how humanity ends up, though. Loved to see how Mamoru remembers the good old hacking days, though. Bro definitely has a high battle iq.

The start is pretty heart-wrenching. Akihabara seems to be sucked out of all its fun, but I still can't get over how Konoha calls Mamoru an old man. I can totally see where the plot is going with Mamoru's inspiring speech. Love how he's still a huge nerd.

Can't help but think that Konoha would've made a hundred times the profit if she had dabbled in gacha... but then the plot would have a hard time being so inspiring lol. The game dev gang interacting with each other and being genuinely happy about their accomplishment is pretty heartwarming. Konoha's exclamation at the end had me giggling, which really helped ease the tension.

I absolutely loved this one, the animation is peak, and the writing is so incredibly captivating. There are a lot of questions about who the two echoes are, but I love that mysterious air about them. Love how they brought about the concept of imagination. Definitely one of the top episodes for me. The struggles of animators/programmers and the way they were able to overcome them by adapting are truly inspiring.
