Nice little start to the series, though our protagonist is a little extra. I do like that all these games that appear as set dressing are real games.
I can't get over how relatable Konoha is. From her ability to dream big and wanting her work colleagues to think out of the box, to turning to God whenever things seem hopeless, there's something extremely human about the way her character has been shaped. I also love the way she's able to go off on a tangent about the things she loves (yep, it happened twice)Her character design and voice acting complement her pretty well. The plot itself also seems pretty intriguing so far, and with such a likeable protagonist at the centre of it all, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where the story goes next.
If you have ever felt completely burned out at a creative job, this premiere will hit you right in the soul. Konoha is such a relatable protagonist for anyone who loves niche gaming genres. Seeing her geeking out over classic PC games gave me a huge smile. The jump back to 1992 Akihabara is pure nostalgia bait, but it works so well. The pacing is snappy, and it perfectly sets up this crazy love letter to the golden era of visual novels.
