The start is pretty heart-wrenching. Akihabara seems to be sucked out of all its fun, but I still can't get over how Konoha calls Mamoru an old man. I can totally see where the plot is going with Mamoru's inspiring speech. Love how he's still a huge nerd.

This episode is genuinely bleak and kind of heart wrenching for any otaku. The tone here is super heavy. It really hammers home the message that the messy, passionate, sometimes cringe worthy history of geek culture is something worth protecting.

Mamoru's realization about time traveling creates an amazing confrontation and the voice acting in the argument is well delivered. The stakes are getting high again.
