I'm pretty sure the arrest is based on the original President of Gainax getting involved in tax fraud and ultimately getting arrested in 1999.
The reveal ultimately ended up confirming the suspicions of both Mamoru and Konoha, and it was done amazingly. For a dialogue-heavy anime, it does a good job at keeping you quite engaged. It was also nice to see Toya embrace the Otaku culture fully, and honestly, good for her on all her accomplishments - Men truly are quite simple creatures. Very curious to see how things are gonna turn out henceforth!
Things get a little sketchy and dramatic in this one. The pacing slows down just a bit to focus on the interpersonal drama and the harsh realities of keeping a company afloat when the money dries up.
