I absolutely loved this one, the animation is peak, and the writing is so incredibly captivating. There are a lot of questions about who the two echoes are, but I love that mysterious air about them. Love how they brought about the concept of imagination. Definitely one of the top episodes for me. The struggles of animators/programmers and the way they were able to overcome them by adapting are truly inspiring.
A emotional episode to be honest. The creation of Kanon is historical and amazing. The emotional damage is high and I'm starting to have a lot of questions about the lore!
The show suddenly shifts into a surreal, abstract, almost sci-fi philosophy trip about the fundamental nature of human imagination. The pacing halts to tell this weird, side story. It's honestly bizarre and a bit jarring.
