Totally a top-notch anime for me, the end was beautiful, and it wasn't overly sweet. The writing was perfect, and the ending made sense because of it. More or less went according to my expectations in a round-about way.

After all the crazy sci fi detours, the finale brings it all back to what truly matters putting your soul into your art. A messy but ultimately totally endearing ride.

It was an emotional finale for this anime. The ultimate resolution wraps up everything in a way that serves a love letter to creators. The writing was messy almost the whole anime and that's probably why it doesn't make total logical sense at the end but the finale animation make up for it.
