Natsume's Book of Friends Season 4

This one is a bit more interesting, he gets captured. Then there's a part where he acted as a god so a calamity doesn't happen and a bunch of other things.

This episode was so heartbreaking. I love how they captured Natsume as a tough, yet vulnerable character at the same time. This episode led us to get to know more and deeply empathize with Natsume through his past, as well as his present. The ending for this season was definitely 10 outta 10 for me. I'd say this episode is one of the best in the entire Natsume series.

In this episode, we finally get to see one by one of Natsume's childhood memories, and it's intensely emotional. I'd say the youkai was kinda creepy, though. The ending was kinda a cliffhanger, so make sure not to skip the next episode, nor this one. Can't want to ride more extreme emo rollercoaster on next eps, so prepare it!

Alert!! This episode is a prelude to the even more intense emotional rollercoaster we’ll face in the next two episodes, so prepare and stock up on more tissues! This episode is quite intriguing, and its slow-burn pace sets the stage for what’s to come in the next episode.

The ending was great, I'd say that's one of the most wholesome ones. I'm satisfied enough with it. The pace was good for each episode, the animation was cool, the lore, and each god was a well-written character.

The lore is so good, each god character is written so well, also it kinda lits our intrigue towards the story, it has a part 2, sooo don't miss this one!!

This is really interesting, actually. The youkai’s power's kinda cool, though, and the backstory and lore surrounding this as a side character are great, too. We also finally get to see one of the Matobas’ backstories.

It was a great episode for the last part of the previous one. Also, I really like that they captured how Natsume cares for his friend. Anyway, I didn't expect tension in this eps tho.

This episode was so funny www, watching Nyanko-sensei acting up in Natsume's form, after all the emo intensity of the previous episode.

Although the pacing is a bit abrupt to jump to Natsume's past, it's still really interesting to see one of Natsume's memories. I'd say just get ready for the emotional rollercoaster in this episode.

This intensely broke my heart. I like it when we can finally see another ayakashi's love story towards humans. It was heartbreaking, heartwarming, and bittersweet at the same time. I wish I could see more of their story.

Cuteness on the peak! I love that they write the fluffball yokai is not just pretty for its looks, but also for its heart. It's so heartwarming to see Natsume's interaction with fluffball yokai in this episode.

Seeing how Natsume's kindness and his pure soul are so precious to me, I'm also happy that the master of those yokai is actually a wise creature after all, he made the right decision, though. It's a good and peaceful resolution for each one of them after all.

The emotional rollercoaster ride of this episode, it's a great ending for the season. Great storyline and writing. Makes you really feel for the MC and what he went through as a child. Soundtrack hits good on the last episode. The animation doesn't do juatice to this series.

Returning to his home that shared memories with his parents was harder than expected. This episode is a mix of drama and tense horror so to speak with that Youkai lurking in that house. Great episode probably one of the best in this season.

Well, this one is expected for a drama anime. Writing was great in Youkai lore but this was solely focuses on the MC's past and what he lost, truly a feels moment. Great episode. Soundtrack needs a few more listen to get a proper verdict. Animation is bad.

The ending to the festival was really interesting to say that it ended in the most wholesome way I could imagine. As I pointed out in some reviews in this season, the writing was superbly done. Lore heavy and in touch with it's storyline.

An intriguing episode, a battle between two gods. As per the previous episode this one also have great writing with heavy lore. The storyline of this one certainly peaked my interest. Animation needs to take up a notch though.

Well I didn't expect that the reason for the Youkai's to gather was that. Great episode but the way the conflict was resolved is a little anticlimactic. Story and lore was good so it was a good episode nonetheless.
