In the third season, Natsume continues his journey of returning yokai names from his grandmother's Book of Friends, while navigating his relationships with humans and spirits.

A kind teenager who inherits a book binding spirits, Natsume releases them, aided by his familiar, Nyanko-sensei.

Madara
Powerful spirit, Madara, often disguised as a maneki-neko, protects Natsume and trains him in exchange for the Book of Friends.
