Synopsis
Having dominated the spotlight at U.A. High School for four full seasons, the students of Class 1-A have left Class 1-B tired of it. That's basically the setup for My Hero Academia Season 5, the rival class finally gets their shot to prove they're not just background characters, and the school pits both classes against each other in structured squad battles. Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki, and the rest of 1-A have to actually work in teams of four, which means the kids who usually solo their way through fights need to rethink their approach. What makes this season work is how it spreads the focus around. Characters who've been sitting on the bench for four seasons suddenly get real moments, and Class 1-B's Quirks are genuinely creative, not just rehashes of what you've already seen. Studio Bones keeps the animation sharp, especially during the battle rounds where the diverse power system really shines. The pacing is more structured than previous seasons since the tournament format gives each matchup room to breathe. It's 25 episodes of a TV series that leans into the school rivalry angle before things shift in tone later on. If you liked the tournament energy of early Mob Psycho 100 or the power variety in One Punch Man's hero roster, this scratches a similar itch. It's also a solid entry point back into the series if you drifted away, the stakes are lower than villain arcs, but the character work is some of the best the show has done.

I kinda like this season finale. A bit heartwarming, but also clearly building up something huge that we’ll all be anticipating for the next season. Something that feels like a real game changer for the story.
This episode felt a little heartwarming for a season finale. It’s like this is the last time we’ll be having this kind of cozy moment. 🥹 Not me already dreading the next season. OMG.
It’s just getting more exciting! Dang, I feel like we’re getting close to the climax of the whole story, and I’m really looking forward to the next season. This episode was wholesome but still built great anticipation for what’s coming next.
Dang, Shigaraki’s terrifying, what the heck? I love this episode. It was such a turning point for the story. The progression is so good that it just keeps making things more exciting!
Is it just me, or does Re-Destro sound like Sanji? Lol. Anyway, this episode really gave me chills. Shigaraki’s really something else. I kinda like how well-written his character is. Things are getting more interesting, and this episode feels VERY important for what’s coming next.
This episode was really good and very important for Shigaraki’s character. It felt disturbing at times, but the way it was portrayed was amazing. The emotions, voice acting, and even the narration were all on point and really hooked you in.
Why does Jin remind me of Deadpool? Lol. Anyway, this episode just keeps getting better and better as things slowly unfold. The fights were chef’s kiss, and that ending really made this arc even more exciting!
If only I had Re-Destro’s power, I’d be so heckin’ huge with the amount of stress I have. The final boss fight was amazing, and then they incorporated a backstory, too? Man, this was getting really good.
This episode’s really intense and emotional. Twice is definitely one of the strongest villains in this universe, and I honestly love his character. He really proves that villains are made, not born.
This is getting dark and serious. The fight between Shigaraki and Re-Destro was just peak. This episode was such a game changer, and learning more about Shigaraki’s backstory really added depth to his character.
I am SO mad. Shigaraki’s backstory was infuriating that I kinda understand why they became who they are now. This episode really delivered the emotions perfectly. Very disturbing and really heartbreaking.
Out of all the villains in this anime, I actually love Twice’s character and backstory the most. I feel bad for him, he was just an unfortunate guy. Anyway, this episode really showcased his abilities, making everything even more thrilling.
The fight’s just getting started! This episode was really amazing with its chef’s kiss animation and badass fights. This was such a refreshing POV because I don’t even have a side I’m cheering for, lol.

If you think the League of Villains was already crazy, apparently, there are people even crazier than them, lol. This episode was really good, with badass fights and twisted ideologies thrown into the mix, making me watch the whole thing with a “wtf?” face.
