📖 SYNOPSIS
Set in 18th-century France, the anime follows D'Eon de Beaumont, a knight and spy for King Louis XV, as he investigates the death of his sister, Lia. Found dead in the Seine, her body was preserved by mercury poisoning, and the word "Psalms" was inscribed on her coffin. The Church believes her soul is trapped, unable to find peace. Driven by vengeance, D'Eon vows to uncover the truth behind Lia's murder. However, he soon discovers that Lia's spirit now resides within his own body. As they delve deeper into the mystery, they uncover a conspiracy that threatens not only their personal quest for revenge but also the very fabric of France. The story explores themes of loyalty, betrayal, and the supernatural within a historical setting.
