Synopsis
Upon her return to Japan after a two year study break in Paris, Ichigo Amano is met with news of Team Ichigo's separation, as each of the Sweets Princes takes a different path toward their dream. Now in her first year of high school, Henri Lucas has a project in store for her, enlisting the help of Ichigo, Makoto Kashino, and new members Lemon Yamagishi and Johnny McBeal to give rise to a new Team Ichigo. As the four work together on this project, Ichigo and Makoto continue to grow closer, though Johnny and the unrelenting Miya Koshiro will not idly sit by; with Johnny's eye on Ichigo and Miya still after Makoto, it definitely seems like love won't come easily. With Ichigo's time at St. Marie Academy, she is now ever closer to her dream of starting her very own pâtisserie. However, she will soon realize that it takes more than just making delicious sweets to open up a shop.

Honestly, I cannot say this series has a well-balanced narrative in terms of its romantic tone. Although the overall story highlights only a few subtle moments of their chemistry, it does not entirely disappoint me since I am into slow burn romances, though it really leaves me hanging when it comes to the actual romance. Nevertheless, this finale completely concludes how the characters have developed maturely as they navigate the overwhelming realities of the culinary industry, making it a truly uplifting and good ending. With so much left unsaid, I desperately need a season 3!!!
As the story reaches its pivotal peak, this episode evidently emphasized how a distinct marketing strategy can monopolize the business industry. It effectively showed how the contrast between a nepotism based approach and a genuine value approach could divide the attention. Furthermore, this also highlighted the catalyst for how their mindsets truly develop maturely as they grow into professional patissiers. On a side note, Miya's piercing laughter is highly effective at disrupting my personal listening experience.
Abruptly, the plot has now been twisted, and I am deeply invested in this progression, as it really helps accelerate the slow burn pace of this story. Moreover, the subtle gestures and developing chemistry of this episode were noticeably pronounced, which really elevates the narrative's underlying romantic emotions.
Showcasing a rewarding narrative, this episode delivers the emotional payoff to its gradual, total success, and this also highlights the peak of Mari's character development as she finally copes with and adapts to her environment. Admittedly, though the cultural setting was beautifully featured, it would have been even better if the ambient vibe had a slightly more vibrant saturation to further emphasize the visuals.
Delving into the practical world, this episode really showcases how to navigate the business industry, particularly within the culinary aspects. This significantly fosters a sense of dedication and hard work, teaching the characters to adapt and remain open to every situation. Above all, it highlights their massive personal transformation and mature growth when facing crucial circumstances. Concurrently, it helps to further deepen and solidify the overall dynamics of Team Ichigo.
The finale was great! My personal gripe is that they never accounted for cost of events when determine who got more. The romance was pretty good and we got multiple couples which is nice! I feel like Johny and Miya both push boundaries man. [7.05/10]
This was the most interesting episode so far. This show focuses on business rather than dessert which adds a layer of complexity. I wonder how they are going to catch up as the sheer scale of Miya's venture is massive.
Finally, we are getting what we signed up for at the beginning of this show! The stakes are raised but imagine the option is either get with your harasser or harasser will 'stop'. I'm curious to see how this will end.
Don't get me wrong. they did need to re-adjust but changing the whole concept is insanity. They could've made it more casual but no, let's scrap what made out place unique. Though, I do love Mari de-centralizing Henri and find other reasons to do what she loves.
Okay, I see what they were doing now. I still think that the concept is fine but they need to adapt to their market. This episode focuses on business development based on their market and advertising.
I really don't understand why they don't have customers. If you want a regular coffee, go to a coffee shop. They have a theme that rich people like and many would have lunch dates. They have a good concept for a big city, though it would work out less in smaller towns. The problem is the management and advertising. Though, I'm curious how they will adapt this.
That was a cute ending but it was not needed. There is some growth for shop ideas but I don't think it needed this much to understand family. I'm just here for New York.
I still feel this plot line is not needed. Also, the whole thing feels rushed as most of the lands were one and done. With what's going on in the human world, this adventure seems like a waste of time.
Yessss, Ichigo and Kashino development!!!! Though, the whole trip felt like an unnecessary side quest, it was nice to see fairy 'Sweets Princes' again. Chocolat is one hell of a tsundere.
The more I think the more I feel like leaving full businesses to 16 year-olds with a month deadline to turn profit is crazy. Though, the more I age the more I agree with Kashino as Andou did not ask for support and they are struggling. Empathy is something else.
We got more into Johny and his motivations with some challenges coming up for the friends. Honestly, the conflict in the group is fine but Johny is not accommodating to anyone.
We got Andou back!! I'm excited to see how his work will turn out in comparison to our group. I love how over-the-top many of the characters are! Hopefully, there is some development with Kashino and Ichigo!
It's been years since I watched this. I love this series as it adds to relationship turmoils. This first episode is catching the originals energy with some heartbreak. Also, the opening is everything to me, I rewatch it in my spare time. No one matches.
The transition and contrast from that chibi concept to a new, structured city ambiance where Team Ichigo was heading definitely defines how creative the visual diversity of this narrative is. Moreover, this essentially highlights the cultural differences, the struggle to anchor and gain acknowledgment, the depth of the emotions felt and the significant characters' vulnerability, particularly Mari's circumstances.
Continuing the adventure with a really heartwarming episode, this truly touches the heart. You can deeply feel the warmth and emotional depth of the story, especially when it comes to the theme of family, which is incredibly moving. Furthermore, this episode maintains a well-balanced flow, delivering deep substance in terms of character growth and dynamics even while they are in their cute chibi forms. I am really enjoying seeing their adorable faces, and I am also lowkey liking Johnny's voice acting.
