Of all the series I've watched this season, this one takes the crown for overall craftsmanship. Like, come on! This is seriously a tough one to beat! The art style, visuals, attention to detail, and direction were all incredible. Every episode was so consistently well-made that I can barely find anything to nitpick about the animation. Story-wise, it's fine for me. It's not my favorite so far, but it's pretty good with how balanced the character development, drama, and overall progression are. But what I hate most about this series is how abrupt the ending is. What the heck was that? A cliffhanger? There wasn't even an epic action scene at the end. It's simply disappointing! Overall, I'd rate this series a 9/10. While I hated the ending, rating it any lower wouldn't feel right. The craftsmanship was simply too good, and I have to give credit where it's due.

The animation style deserves a special mention; it mimics the intricate line work of the original manga, making every frame look like an illustration from a high-end fairytale book. The climax of the episode—where Coco’s innocent curiosity leads to a disastrous, petrifying accident—serves as a stark reminder that magic isn't just a toy; it’s a powerful force with consequences. It sets up a high-stakes journey for Coco as she enters the world of mages to fix her mistake. Final Verdict: Episode 1 is a perfect "hook." It establishes a relatable protagonist, a gorgeous art style, and a logical power system that invites the viewer to learn alongside the main character. It is a breath of fresh air for the fantasy genre in 2026.
