El mejor anime de la temporada. Tiene un ritmo bastante trepitante, pero también sabe manejar las pausas, sabe cuando dejar que el anime respire para que podamos sentir la angustia, la tristeza y la desesperación de los personajes. La animación es bellísima, muy cuidada además que los detalles, valga la redundancia, tiene tantos detalles. No se siente genérico, no solo porque es fantasía medieval y no puedes hacer el chiste de donde en que anime sale este campo de arroz o este puente, sino que tiene una forma muy marcada y distintiva tanto en diseño de personajes como en los fondos. No sé cómo explicarlo, pero sería como poner la ciudad de Karakura junto con otras ciudades random masomenos realistas del anime de esa época y sabés que es Karakura o Tomoeda (y eso que este creo que se volvió un poco más genérico con clear card), pero no sabes explicar muy bien porque lo sabes. Además el misterio está tan bien llevado, nunca nos dan información de más y cada capítulo responde una pregunta o preguntas muy específicas y necesarias para ese momento, entonces te deja satisfecho, pero con intriga y ese es un equilibrio precario. Además los personajes y sus relaciones se sienten tan llenos de matices, de complejidades que puedes llegar a amar y odiar al mismo personaje de forma tan intensa en los 13 capitulos. En fin. Lo ame. Saquen segunda temporada ya.

Bruh! That's it? This is it? What the heck? What a cliffhanger! Usually, finales are either action-packed cinema or cozy, satisfying wrap-ups. But this? Neither! I am so disappointed with this. I didn't even realize the episode had ended until the ED started playing. I'm actually so mad! On a positive note, the visuals and animation remained amazing throughout. The overall craftsmanship was simply amazing.

When Coco finally tries to draw a spell herself, the tension is palpable. The animation style deserves a special mention; it mimics the intricate line work of the original manga, making every frame look like an illustration from a high-end fairytale book. The climax of the episode—where Coco’s innocent curiosity leads to a disastrous, petrifying accident—serves as a stark reminder that magic isn't just a toy; it’s a powerful force with consequences. It sets up a high-stakes journey for Coco as she enters the world of mages to fix her mistake. Final Verdict: Episode 1 is a perfect "hook." It establishes a relatable protagonist, a gorgeous art style, and a logical power system that invites the viewer to learn alongside the main character. It is a breath of fresh air for the fantasy genre in 2026.

Este episodio me pareció uno de los más bonitos por su sentimentalismo y arte, y me encantó como muestran el desarrollo y el aprendizaje de coco en todo lo que ha pasado

Is Qifrey evil?

Every time I watched a new episode of this anime, I'm just in absolute awe of it. I feel so much maternal love for the childrens and adoration for the adults figure in Coco's life. The treatment Coco got from Qifrey and Olruggio this episode was so sweet arghhh I'm in shambles. I feel like someone who's never received a father's love (I do) before and was smiling and screeching so hard whenever Qifrey acted so much like a father towards his apprentices. He ADORES his kids and I stand by that.

Can this series get any more magical and enchanting? 😭 LOVE the attention to detail they put to every single world building. And story-wise, also loving the little focus on Richeh's storyline there, makes the whole plot more layered than just focusing on a single character.

The finale delivers a much more intense atmosphere. The animation is absolutely stunning from beginning to end. It closes the season with plenty to look forward to.

Creo que fue un episodio bastante tranquilo , con bastante tensión como para recordarte lo importante y los peligros de toda esta historia.

the mechanical animation continues to be exceptionally on point throughout this entire installment. dedicating this segment to establishing the backstory and internal dreams of richeh provides necessary psychological growth. furthermore the structural objective of the second test involving the myrphon introduces highly complex magical parameters.

Bug Films is actually insane for this. The way they animate the pen strokes when Coco draws magic makes my jaw drop. But seriously, Agott is such a toxic gatekeeper for sending a literal beginner to a floating death trap. Coco using her sewing skills to clutch up was peak.

The stakes ramped up so fast here. What started as a simple, stressful test on a cliffside quickly turned into a high-pressure survival situation. Watching Coco try to draw a precise spell while trembling with fear kept me on the edge of my seat. The camera angles during the descent and the booming soundtrack during the climax made the whole sequence feel incredibly cinematic.

Loved the transition to the cozy atelier atmosphere! Meeting the other apprentices felt super natural, and Agott's frosty attitude immediately sets up an exciting rivalry. The environmental design here is incredible the rolling green hills and the studio layout look gorgeous. It is a slightly slower episode, but it does a great job explaining the rules of the world without being boring.

Amazing thriller episode. I love how this episode had no action but still kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Literally mind-blowing visuals and voice acting

Great appearance and participation from Riche!! I really like how Coco and Qifrey’s relationship keeps developing. This episode created a lot of intrigue for me, I was really looking forward to what would happen next.
