QUICK TAKES

Coco's Join the Magic Study.
The episode has a warm and calm vibe with rivalry.
Overall - Fun to watch, 8/10.

Waa, es todo un cambio demasiado repentino para la pobre Coco... tiene mucho con que cargar a pesar de ser tan pequeñita...El episodio ha sido muy bonito e interesante ❤

To be honest, I thought Agott would be a character I'd end up hating, but I'm glad that isn't the case. In fact, I'm starting to like her. That said, the story slowed down quite a bit in this episode. While the pacing may seem slow, it's actually perfect for setting the mood. We also get to learn more about how magic works, which I believe is the highlight of the entire episode.

In this episode, Coco feels more and more the weight of being a new wizard apprentice in a world that she doesn't know and doesn't immediately accept.

Enjoy it so much

Absolutely amazing second ep. Coco's world just keeps getting bigger as she faces new challenges. Looking forward to more.

In this episode we meet Qifrey's other students: Agathe, Tetia, and Riché. The "learning fun things with magic" setting is extremely cute. We also see the importance of children not being left alone, as their understanding of danger is somewhat hazy. Faced with conflicting feelings, Agathe proposes something unthinkable for a former Outsider like Coco.

The atmosphere transition between the previous episode and this episode is really good. Also more character were introduced in this episode with some development, especially Agott. She is so cold and that's like make a rivalry relation with Coco. It is really interesting.

Learning more how the magic system work!
I don't like Agott, tho I understand her point of view, she had to make a lot of effort and learn before she got accented as an apprentice vs the protagonist that in her point of view got lucky and go accepted right away.... I just hate entitle people like that.
Also why anime always make food look so delicious? now I'm hungry uwu

This episode served as a development of the interesting and complex world introduced in the first episode, the detail given to the magic system is amazing to see.

Loved the transition to the cozy atelier atmosphere! Meeting the other apprentices felt super natural, and Agott's frosty attitude immediately sets up an exciting rivalry. The environmental design here is incredible the rolling green hills and the studio layout look gorgeous. It is a slightly slower episode, but it does a great job explaining the rules of the world without being boring.

It was so satisfying to watch the graphics. Very smooth and clean. The storyline also progressed well but at a slow pace. Watch if you loved the storyline and graphics, skip if you could not handle too much heavy information about magic!

Keren banget buat pemula SUKA BANGET!!!

beautifull, showcased the beauty of magic

This episode showcased the beauty of magic and lovable characters such as Coco and Tetia. The smallest details that the animators placed into this series are breathtaking even the simplest scenes such as the Vapor Bubble mechanism, Window Way (especially the flower fields), the ancient storybook artbook, and the setting of the story.
During this episode, it made me even root for Coco in becoming an amazing witch that can make people love magic and even happy and of course save her mother from the forbidden magic. The introduction of the three new characters, Agott, Tetia, and Riche showcased their personality very much such as Tetia being a happy go luck and optimistic character, Riche an introverted yet full of character when it comes to food, and Agott who is more of a closed type of person who wants to be ahead of everyone no matter what well more like a person who is pressured to be someone that anyone can be proud of.
Overall, I love this episode even if it is a simple introduction to the new setting and characters.

A great follow-up episode following the events of the first one. We see the effect of what Coco did and how it may hinder her later in her journey of learning magic. As well as seeing the next logical progression for her in this world, for her to learn magic to undue her actions. We are introduced to more characters, which are her fellow students, with each have a familiar character type. While, not a bad thing, can be cliche if not driven somewhere differently. There is also some further great worldbuilding, especially in the explanation of the magic system and why magic is taught to a select few. The latter being a key question that was brought up for me, that was satisfied in this episode. I look forward to the next episode.
EPISODE CONTEXT
Episode 2 follows directly from Coco's life-changing encounter with magic in the premiere, shifting gears from inciting incident to first steps. This episode does the essential structural work of establishing the academy environment, its cast of apprentices, and the mentor dynamics that will drive the season's emotional core. It lays the foundation for Coco's long arc of growth, making it a key reference point as later episodes test everything introduced here.
