Episode Context

Episode 12 laid the groundwork with heavy lore around Romonon's tragic past and the opening strike of a Brimmed Cap ambush, transforming the Second Pentagram Test from a challenge into a crisis. This finale completes the Serpentback Cave arc by forcing that crisis to its most brutal conclusion, making the theoretical dangers of forbidden magic devastatingly real. The unresolved threats and raised stakes here serve as a direct bridge into a second season, signaling that the world of Witch Hat Atelier has permanently darkened.
