QUICK TAKES

The episode is calm and slightly emotional, with good pacing.
It can feels like a supporting character development episode, but it is enjoyable and interesting.
Overall — character development: 7/10

The episode's pace is just right but the plot doesn't really progress much. This episode also shows the development of Tartah's character. Even though not much happened, this episode is still enjoyable.

Un episodio muy bonito para apreciar las virtudes propias. Me gusta mucho que le hayan dado oportunidad a Tartar de descubrir cosas nuevas 💙

Didnt like the switcharoo at at the beginning where certain question isnt asked first, even with the question asked after, it didnt change whether it was asked before or after. I also had to suspend my disbelief when Qifrey did not made sure someone specifically is left behind to take care of coco before going off to help with a fire especially with how important coco is to him.
Don't feel like the relationship building deserve it either. Didn't feel they build it properly.
Overall feels like a filler episode in the end.

Coco and Tartah also have great chemistry. Because of Coco's natural kindness and positivity, Tartah's fear of her weaknesses gradually diminishes.

Tartah's moments gave me goosebumps. They weren't even that epic by typical standards, but the direction and overall craftsmanship was so perfect that I was completely entranced. The subtle details in the animation were absolutely beautiful.

We have a Brazilian Portuguese expression that goes, "This is where the child cries and the mother doesn't see", which means: an extremely complex, difficult, dangerous, or tense situation where a person has no one to help or intervene with.
And that's exactly how this episode unfolds. Qifrey quickly arrives at Karun Hospital with Tartar's help and a feverish Coco. However, the adults soon find themselves facing another problem: a fire in a city tavern.
Even though she has a fever, Coco encourages her teacher to fulfill his duty as a wizard: to help Outsiders, after all, that's what magic is for – to make the world a better place.
Tartar helps Coco, who seems to be getting worse from being alone, even though she's in a hospital. The young wizard believes his knowledge of herbs might be useful, since many of the plants used as magical ingredients are also used in medicine. The reality is different: his Silverwash condition prevents him from distinguishing between the two.
Once again, Coco's perception as an Outsider is valuable: the way she sees problems and solves them differently from the witch mentality. Together, two children create real magic. A simple magic, but one that doesn't just solve the immediate problem, but magic in its truest essence – that of giving hope to achieve things that seemed impossible.

This episode has slower pace than before but was really good about the development of Tartah anw. He's really good in this episode. The way the studio showed the animation about Tartah vision is really good and awesome. I like it.

The urgency of the situation here really tugs on your heartstring this time around! I love how on this episode we get more cameo for Tartah--I honestly feel like thanks to this episode we might see more of him soon! The pacing feels great so far, and even the tension among the people and how they treat witches is really making my brain itch, thinking that this has got to play a part in the overall lore later. But we'll see!

AGH a Coco and Tartah focused episode!! Although it was yet another chill episode, it was soo cuteee!! The episode really displayed another layer of their bond and I am living for every part of it✨ Also, I love how they made Tartah pop out in this episode, and how they portrayed herbs and healing magic was beautiful! That kid has potential, I’m telling you👀

Este episodio me pareció uno de los más bonitos por su sentimentalismo y arte, y me encantó como muestran el desarrollo y el aprendizaje de coco en todo lo que ha pasado

This is a friendship and romantic moment episode between Coco and Tartah. You can skip if you want, but I recommend watching since it has character development and heartwarming moments.

man, this show continues to grip my heart at its most vulnerable moments. i absolutely adore Tartah and the bond he shares with Coco is so heartfelt and genuine. every scene between them carries so much warmth and emotional weight to it :((( that promise at the end was perfect

the mechanical rules of the magical system are applied brilliantly here. establishing that drawing a sigil backwards completely inverts its standard effect provides a highly logical solution for differentiating the completely colorless potions without relying on visual sight.

Tartah spending the entire night desperately searching for that meds was so sweet. That dude is actually so dedicated to her but honestly i get it, she gave him hope just right when he needed it. coco my goat
i really love how they handle the silverfish concept as a metaphor. watching coco show him that there is another way to do things was just so beautiful. it honestly gave me so much hope seeing that kind of support and kindness
EPISODE CONTEXT
Episode 10 arrives just after a high-stakes stretch centered on Coco's physical deterioration, offering a deliberate emotional cooldown that widens the world's thematic scope. By spotlighting Tartah and the concept of Silverwash, the series broadens its argument about ability, belonging, and the rigid structures of magical society. With only three episodes remaining, this character-building interlude feels positioned to pay dividends — seeding the resilience and redefined purpose that the finale stretch will likely demand.
