Even without fully understanding the reasons behind some situations, the plot has played out in a way that shows us some characters being miserable and others feeling way too superior. However, this episode was very exciting and makes us look forward to the finale with great anticipation. What will happen to Zero, and what will happen now with Kaname? And what about the new power he acquired? These are the questions this episode leaves us with.

Sets the stage for what is supposed to happen in the final episodes; it's like a teaser of what's to come. It doesn't give us much information, only that Yuki has made her decision and that could change everything: it could either save Zero or completely doom him, especially since Kaname is succumbing to his hatred toward him.

Zero's long-awaited encounter with his past ended up being overshadowed by Yuki's intervention. Although I liked the final part, I feel that the most dramatic scenes are always cut short by her intervention and her curiosity. What happened was quite predictable; however, I am anxious to know why Kaname is moving the pieces from afar to make everything that is currently happening take place.

The Return of a Villainess That could be the title. This chapter gives us a glimpse of what could possibly be the return of Zero's torment. I really liked the chapter, although I fear that Zero might be afraid of her instead of having the courage to face her.

In chapter 8, honestly, half of it doesn't have anything relevant; out of the whole episode, only the final part seemed interesting to me. It's an episode where important topics aren't really touched upon, except for the fact that Zero starts working as a vampire hunter, even though he is a vampire himself. It's a flat chapter that doesn't contribute much to the anime's overall theme and introduces a character whose purpose we don't really understand for now.

It's a chapter that gives us context about the history of Yuki, Kaname, and Zero, and how they relate to each other. A bit of a tedious chapter, but one that helps us better understand Yuki's feelings and confusion, as well as Kaname's feelings for her. It might help us understand Kaname's point of view more and the reason behind his coldness nowadays.

This chapter has been way too exciting. Yuki made an irreversible decision to help Zero and, honestly, you could really feel the tension in that scene; the music, everything was incredible. Plus, we found out that there is a chance for Zero to be saved. I liked this chapter, 10 out of 10.

This chapter was honestly very uncomfortable to watch. The power that Kaname exerts over Yuki is not pleasant. Even so, I like how Yuki stays by Zero's side while he continues to suffer. The ending was very shocking; will this new character arrive to help Zero, will they be another obstacle in the way, or will they be someone who hurts him even more?

I loved the ending, it was very exciting. Zero needs support and Yuki is willing to give it to him no matter what. Who will arrive to watch over Zero?

The ending was thrilling. It’s frustrating to see Yuki make Zero lose control, but I admire his internal struggle to hold on; it’s heartbreaking and makes him the best character by far. Kaname’s final request is key, and I’m left wondering if it's out of jealousy or protection for Yuki. This will change the course of the story.

Amid all the Valentine's Day hype, our guy Zero is suffering. I love this character's backstory—the way he struggles not to become the very thing he hates most.

Thinking back on the anime from my teenage years, the story is really good and gives us a great taste of what’s to come. The turbulent pasts of all the characters—especially Zero’s—leave you wanting to know more.

Can I just spend a few seconds praising the background art? The stained glass windows and the lighting were drawn so beautifully. As the season finale, the first half felt incredibly heavy, while the second half felt exactly like the calm before the storm. My only complaint—I was really hoping to see a little more interaction between Kaname and Yuki at the very end!

What?! This episode is so intense that it absolutely cannot be skipped (though honestly, no one would dare skip it anyway). Everything feels like it's coming to an end, yet it’s simultaneously the start of something tragic. The light and funny atmosphere at the beginning was such a brilliant choice, creating a massive, heartbreaking contrast to how things ended.

The small actions and subtle facial expression changes of the twins were illustrated delicately, showing their contrast and conflicts through all the tiny details. Second half of the episode completely shifts the mood, it was wonderful to see the youngs enjoying their lives a little bit and forgetting about the conflict for a moment.

Pacing felt a bit messy during the first half of the episode, though thankfully it didn't ruin the story. However, the action and fighting scenes were oversimplified—it honestly looked like the production team was running low on budget and cutting corners. It’s such a shame because that was an important scene that deserved more impact.

The funny gag moments following the intense, heavy atmosphere brought by the new vampire student served to lighten the mood perfectly. I think it was a great creative choice—the balance was spot on. The pacing is consistently improving, and the music is always top-tier. Honestly, there's nothing to complain about!

The action scenes actually feel like they're getting slightly better in this episode! But the non-action moments stole the show—this was such an intense and suffocatingly oppressive chapter. Character designs remain incredibly delicate, beautiful, and captivating. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to see the true face of that mysterious figure from the ending!

The backstory of the trio—Yuki, Zero, and Kaname—is so sweet yet absolutely heartbreaking at the same time. (And can we talk about how Kaname has been adorable since he was a kid?) Even though the plot of this episode was simple, it was somehow so captivating that it could almost stand alone. Atmosphere itself was already a solid 100/100.
