EPISODE REVIEWS

Amid all the Valentine's Day hype, our guy Zero is suffering. I love this character's backstory—the way he struggles not to become the very thing he hates most.

Love how the characters' emotions and inner worlds—especially Zero's and Kaname-senpai's—are captured through the small details and even the action beats. I mean, who doesn’t love a mystery man? Pacing, music, and setting are still a 10/10 for me. Only complaint is that the fighting scene still feel a bit stiff and awkward, but everything else is so good I can look past it.

Zero's dramatic scenes in the episode clash too much with the comedic and rather cartoonish tone of the day school students. It feels like a waste of time, and it's better to follow Zero's drama separately. The human students feel like NPCs without personality.
