Zero's long-awaited encounter with his past ended up being overshadowed by Yuki's intervention. Although I liked the final part, I feel that the most dramatic scenes are always cut short by her intervention and her curiosity. What happened was quite predictable; however, I am anxious to know why Kaname is moving the pieces from afar to make everything that is currently happening take place.

Pacing felt a bit messy during the first half of the episode, though thankfully it didn't ruin the story. However, the action and fighting scenes were oversimplified—it honestly looked like the production team was running low on budget and cutting corners. It’s such a shame because that was an important scene that deserved more impact.

It's quite sad the psychological damage the vampires inflict on both Zero and Yuuki. Many characters are broken and make decisions that cause a cascade of pain for others. Here, the biggest victim is Zero, one problem after another.
