The Irregular at Magic High School
Oshimeter
Synopsis
In the dawn of the 21st century, magic, long thought to be folklore and fairy tales, has become a systematized technology and is taught as a technical skill. In First High School, the institution for magicians, students are segregated into two groups based on their entrance exam scores: "Blooms," those who receive high scores, are assigned to the First Course, while "Weeds" are reserve students assigned to the Second Course. Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei follows the siblings, Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba, who are enrolled in First High School. Upon taking the exam, the prodigious Miyuki is placed in the First Course, while Tatsuya is relegated to the Second Course. Though his practical test scores and status as a "Weed" show him to be magically inept, he possesses extraordinary technical knowledge, physical combat capabilities, and unique magic techniques—making Tatsuya the irregular at a magical high school.

One of the better episodes in this season! It ties the Yokohama arc nicely and the epic scenes are cool. Overall, the season ended quite satisfying.
Tatsuya finally unleashing his skills and abilities. It deserves to be shown off! The pacing is just right. Also the epic fight scenes are nicely done.
Finally an exciting and engaging episode! All those revelations and action packed scenes made this episode worth watching. Also the pacing and the set up is better than the other episodes.
It is finally picking up the pace. The tension is building up and the plot is now kind of advancing. Still could have been better but maybe the next episodes will be more exciting and engaging.
This episode might have action scenes but the plot isn’t really engaging. The pacing itself is quite a problem with how slow it is. Also the sibling complex can be a bit too much. This show can be really all over the place.
Still a set-up episode but mostly focused on the side characters. It’s quite refreshing to see less of how overpowered Tatsuya is and to also see how much more we can learn about the side characters.
Another set-up episode. It’s another world building episode for this new arc’s plot. It seems that people are targeting Tatsuya and his circle of friends. It’s not that engaging but it does help the plot advance.
We are finally in a new arc. Unlike the other arcs, we immediately go into action. Tatsuya is always involved in trouble but he is goated, he can overpower them as always. Can’t wait what this arc has in store for us.
A nice conclusion to the Nine Schools Competition arc. Tatsuya always does the job when needed. He is the definition of chill but deadly lmao.
The calm and steady Tatsuya getting angry all because his sister is at risk. Miyuki really is his weakness. Miyuki during the match is a goat fr.
The action scenes are nicely done. Tatsuya really went all out during the match. Overpowered king fr. Also nice teamwork with his team. They really did that!
Tatsuya is really a big brain. He just goes and does things but still ended up as the one winning. A master strategist that he is. Also the action scenes during the match are cool.
The tension is rising. The competition is still ongoing but there are things being sabotaged. For sure, Tatsuya will be the doing things and will find a solution for everything.
Tatsuya really is a genius. His schoolmates really look up to him especially with his help during the competition. Now everyone is wary of his abilities.
The Nine Schools Competition is finally here. A rather engaging episode than the previous ones, the competition really helped with this. It's nice that these matches are a mix of technology and their skills.
Tatsuya really is the goat of this series. Everyone is always amazed with how incredible he is despite being a Course 2 student. He knows what to do and because of it more people are becoming aware of how skill he is.
A bit of fanservice for the watchers. More on dialogues and character development. Not much action for now, just high schoolers being high schoolers in this episode.
Another episode about world building. Nothing really much happened except at the last part. It's nice they also give screentime to the secondary cast. With all the things happening you sometimes forget that they are high schoolers but this episode reminds you of it.
More TMIs in this episode since it's just a transition episode after what happened in the previous arc. It's cool that Tatsuya is so adept in creating technology. The last scene where they tried it out looks cool.
It's cool that the siblings have different ways to combat. The action scenes in this episode is nice to watch. I hope the next arc would have more action scenes and less sibling complex.
