The Nine Schools Competition is finally here. A rather engaging episode than the previous ones, the competition really helped with this. It's nice that these matches are a mix of technology and their skills.

This episode is one of the GOOD ones of the Nine Schools Competition arc so far, The competition is finally happening, the supporting cast gets screen time, and the exposition is slightly less oppressive, most enjoyable episode in a while.

Most shounen would straight up use cliché duel and call it a competition but it's fresh to see in this anime it's set up as more like olympic games but with magic. Plot wise, there's nothing critical to see here but this is the kind of filler episode I don't mind seeing more of!
