The Elusive Samurai Season 2

Overall, ini merupakan kelanjutan yang bagus. Season ini memberikan lebih banyak fokus pada karakter-karakter yang belum terlalu mendapat perhatian di season sebelumnya, sekaligus membawa peningkatan dari segi visual yang terasa lebih kreatif. Banyak karakter baru yang menarik juga diperkenalkan, dan aku juga trivia sejarah yang diselipkan sepanjang cerita. Secara keseluruhan, aku lebih menyukai season ini dibandingkan Season 1, meskipun untuk ending-nya sendiri aku masih lebih suka Season 1. Semoga saja ada Season 3.

Episode terakhir dari Season 2. Seperti biasa, visual dan animasinya bagus, humornya juga kena, dan ceritanya tetap menarik. Sayangnya, aku kurang suka dengan ending seperti ini. Overall, sebagai penutup ini bukan ending yang bagus.

Shoukan was giving that little girl melon slices and I was smiling right up until his face did that thing. Turned my whole night around

Genuinely torn on Shoukan. His logic about killing the Buddha to repay his debt is twisted and fascinating but the man has murdered children so I can't fully feel for him

That melon scene flipped the whole show into horror for like ten seconds and I am not okay. The distorted face reveal is going to live in my head rent free

When the season one opening kicked in during Tokiyuki looking back on everything I lost it. He is so far from that scared little kid

You could feel how much Yorishige wants Tokiyuki to earn it himself. The whole no Hojo name yet speech lands different when you remember this kid only used to be good at running

still can't decide if I trust the Shokan turn. bro killed kids in season one and now he's a gentle uncle handing out melons. the Buddha line goes hard though I'll give him that

I wasn't ready for the horror pivot at the end. My favorite moment had to be Tokiyuki finally cracking Kusunoki's messy scroll by remembering how weird everyone in Shinano is. That felt earned

that little girl bringing melons to Shokan and his whole face twisting had me checking my door was locked. CloverWorks really did that in a show about a kid who runs away

when DIVE started playing over the memory montage you just knew they were about to send him off to war for real. that song carries so much weight after everything

Saionji got more dignity in his last five minutes than most villains in this series get in a whole arc. The gambler mindset and the way he just accepted it really made his execution land harder than I expected

that multi eyed demon thing Takauji turns into in Tokiyukis eyes was genuinely unsettling. watching the fear wash over him again after all that buildup hurt

Fine so nobody can touch Takauji. The ambush was over before it started and now the whole faction knows how far out of their depth they are. Bold choice to spend a whole episode on a loss like this

I came into this episode ready to see Tokiyuki win something and instead I got my whole chest caved in. Takauji not even recognizing the kid he once comforted on that beach as a child is the cruelest thing this show has done

The face Tokiyuki makes when Takauji offers him a job like hes some random kid at a market. All that rage and grief and the man literally forgot him. That M Bison energy hurt to watch
