Episode Context

Coming off Episode 2, where Sadamune tested Tokiyuki through a politically charged errand, Episode 3 widens the tension from personal stakes into open regional conflict across Shinano. It introduces the Three Great Generals of the Suwa faction as key players, building the coalition framework that the season's larger Kamakura-restoration arc will depend on. This episode functions as a momentum-setter, moving the group from political maneuvering into active warfare and positioning them for the decisive confrontations ahead.
