Needy Girl Overdose

starts insanely confusing, exploring the mentality of a group of severely ill girls and their perception of reality. its almost mind bending. the anime really shifts halfway through, boiling down and peeling back the layers to reveal the truth about these characters. they are sick but find community in it. they wont get better but they keep each other from reaching their worst points this anime is NOT feel good, its even the opposite at times, but there is a satisfaction in the ending. its also not necessarily game cannon and has a different vibe, so dont hope too much for a 1:1 remake. it’s set (presumably) post-game, which impacts the story and how Kangel / Ame is formatted. we do not see her descent, as we have already been part of that via that game. think of it more as a continuation than a remake.

not worth the watch, skip this one if you're curious

Seems like the Karamazov is really getting serious about taking down KAngel. This moment develops the plot further. And the story starts to get more interesting as something happens with Michica.

In this episode, there's a glimpse of Nechika's backstory. Furthermore, this episode explores more detail about Nechika's character. Also, it's quite interesting to see the interaction between Nechika and Ame.

Michica's transformation in this episode is quite interesting to watch. Also, the aesthetic things to represent her is actually a good addition to this episode. But, there's no significant plot progress yet.

A lot of things happen in this episode. Still can't see where the plot is heading. Also their interaction is just hard to follow and difficult to understand.

Kache's long-suppressed frustration finally reached its breaking point. This episode shows how she finally develops herself. It’s still not entirely clear where the plot is heading, but at least this episode is decent.

For sure the story in this series is so dark and heavy. It also shows how people treated Ame shaped the person she is today. And that sense of frustration and loneliness really comes through in this episode.

Still doesn't understand what's going on in this episode. The visuals are stunning, yet the plot has not shown any significant development. But at least the interaction between Ame and the Karamazov members makes this episode quite interesting.

Too much things happen on this first episode. Still doesn't understand the plot but at least the visual is stunning. The pacing is right but there are still many confusing scenes. Let's see what happens in the next episode.

Purple Lollipop invites a special guest for a live episode. The episode is less intense. I can't understand the plot. Overall - 6/10.

Man, this one is heavy and dark, with lots of things going on. Mind-twisting animations. But I feel the animation is a bit laggy, only if it were more fps or smoother. Overall — very intense — it can mess with your head, 9/10.

The way the art style kept switching up during the performance was brilliant and that JoJo reference was totally unexpected but it fit the chaotic energy of the stream perfectly

I was so stressed that this was going to end in a tragedy because the funeral scene and that dark flashback to the hotel really had me on edge for Ame, but seeing her choose to leave the internet behind for her own sanity was actually beautiful. The Internet Yamero performance was such a massive spectacle and it felt like a perfect goodbye.

You see the scars on their arms in the bathhouse and it just hits so hard because they all found each other through that pain and now they are actually helping each other heal

I really thought Ame was about to jump when she was on that window ledge but she just needed to go back to the digital ocean and perform her heart out and seeing her finally hit 100 million was so cool

That Initial D drifting sequence was absolutely unhinged and seeing Ame drive like a maniac to get ramen with her friends is the kind of content you need after all the heavy stuff lately

kangel chanting ascension while the follower count hit a hundred million felt like she was finally letting go of everything and the transition to that quiet seaside town was such a trip

that dragonball reference during the final concert was so out of nowhere but it worked and the glitch art during the song made the whole thing feel so intense

my jaw stayed open during the whole internet yamero sequence because the visuals were just total chaos and seeing kangel reach that milestone before dipping out was legendary
