starts insanely confusing, exploring the mentality of a group of severely ill girls and their perception of reality. its almost mind bending.

the anime really shifts halfway through, boiling down and peeling back the layers to reveal the truth about these characters. they are sick but find community in it. they wont get better but they keep each other from reaching their worst points

this anime is NOT feel good, its even the opposite at times, but there is a satisfaction in the ending.

its also not necessarily game cannon and has a different vibe, so dont hope too much for a 1:1 remake. it’s set (presumably) post-game, which impacts the story and how Kangel / Ame is formatted. we do not see her descent, as we have already been part of that via that game. think of it more as a continuation than a remake.
