In this episode, there's a glimpse of Nechika's backstory. Furthermore, this episode explores more detail about Nechika's character. Also, it's quite interesting to see the interaction between Nechika and Ame.

OK episode, it feels underwhelming after watching Michica's insane character exploration previously. Nechika's idealization of being an absolute being of worship feels too similar to KAngels', but I think I can get behind it because of how the show directly acknowledges it.

The focus on Nechika within this episode felt repetitive of the previous 2 episodes, which did the same character work on Michica and Denpa Girl. Her meeting with Ame felt just a little forced, it stays true to the established structure but is comparatively impromptu.

Episode Context

Arriving at the midpoint of the season, this episode follows the external pressures and online fame dynamics explored in the preceding episode, pivoting sharply inward to examine the psychological and emotional core of Nechika and Ame-chan's relationship. It functions as a tonal bridge, closing the door on outward-facing conflict and opening a more personal, unsettling interior space. What it establishes here appears to lay critical groundwork for the escalating developments in the back half of the season.
