This episode was intense, emotional, and honestly so exciting to watch. Even though Izuminokami Kanesada had to watch someone he cared about die, he still chose to carry on and protect history. You can really feel both his love and his sense of duty. It was such a touching episode.

This is one of my favorite episodes because we finally get to see the First and Second Units work together. The First Unit doesn't feel quite as unstoppable as before, but they're still incredibly strong. This episode also starts to answer the question from the previous episode about what it really means to protect history. The answer isn't completely clear yet, but it definitely makes you want to keep watching. And what will happen to Horikawa Kunihiro? What is he planning, and how will he choose to protect history? Let's find out in this episode.

You have to watch this episode all the way to the end, especially to see Horikawa Kunihiro's change and the difficult decision Izuminokami Kanesada has to make because of it. This episode also raises an interesting question: does protecting history mean you can never change a single person's fate? We see many innocent people lose their lives, and they're all part of history. Even if the major historical events remain the same, is that really what it means to protect history? These are the kinds of thought provoking questions this anime leaves you with.

This episode is about choosing between your mission and the people you care about. The sword warriors unexpectedly run into their former masters, even though they already know what their future holds. Would they stay true to their mission and protect history, or try to change the fate of their former masters? And if history changes, what would the consequences be? This episode asks some really interesting questions and gives you a lot to think about.

The Second Unit is finally back on a mission.Even though the enemies they face are much weaker than the ones the First Unit fought, the episode is still really enjoyable. One thing I love about this anime is how it introduces real historical events. It was also heartwarming to see Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki reunite with his former master. The whole episode felt warm and touching.

The First Unit may be unbelievably strong, but this episode also shows how kind and compassionate they are.They take the time to comfort and help the families of the victims, which made me like them even more.Meanwhile, the Second Unit has recovered and is ready for their next mission.Before they leave, the First Unit's captain asks them an important question: Do they truly understand what it means to protect history?I think that's a powerful question, and it's one I'll be thinking about as I continue watching this anime.

This episode really showed me just how powerful the First Unit is. I thought they were only a little stronger than the Second Unit, but I was completely wrong—they're on a whole different level. The Second Unit struggled against just one ōdachi, while even the weakest member of the First Unit could defeat one with ease. And they weren't fighting just one—they were taking on multiple odachi at the same time. That was seriously impressive.

I really enjoyed this episode because it revealed more about the world and its backstory. I was surprised to learn that it's not just the main team protecting history—there are many other squads and members working behind the scenes as well. That really expanded the world for me and made it even more interesting.

This episode starts off with the arrival of a new character who quickly turns the battle around. But don't let that fool you, just when everything seems under control, the real danger begins. This time, the team has to face not only a much stronger enemy, but also a much larger army. Can they still complete their mission? And what will happen to Tonbokiri in the middle of this fierce battle? Be sure not to miss this episode!

This episode introduces a powerful new enemy that even the four of them aren't confident they can defeat. During the battle, it's clear that the enemy isn't just incredibly strong, but also just as fast, making every fight feel intense. Yagen Toushirou also finds himself in a tough situation. Will he be able to make it through?

From a team that couldn't get along to one that trusted each other, this anime does a great job of showing their growth. Watching them slowly build trust and work together to complete their mission was one of my favorite parts of the series.

A true masterpiece of a finale. The pacing is absolutely breathless, paired with jaw-dropping animation. The emotional, hopeful tone brought their entire character development arcs to a wonderful conclusion.

The tense wartime clash sets the ultimate stage for the finale. The fast pacing and the fierce battle tone wonderfully complemented each other pretty well. The sword choreography showcased some heroic character development.

This episode focused on Kanesada making an impossible choice as a commander. The dark tone paired with the calculated pacing makes it uneasy. The flawless lighting animation provides some peak character development right before the end.

This is a massive psychological gut punch where loyalty is tested to the absolute limit. The incredible thick agonizing tone, paired with the frantic pacing, leaves no room for breathing. Moreover, the raw animation drives the character development for a fracturing team.

Things got deeply personal in this episode as the squad confronts the ghost. The tone became melancholic, and the pacing was perfectly building emotional stakes. Moreover, Horikawa received an incredible, heart-breaking character development.

This folklore investigation felt like a tense supernatural detective story. The perfectly measured pacing, and the eerie night time animation looked gorgeous. Some stellar team synergy is showcased by the suspenseful tone which provided collective character development.

The synchronized First Unit brings some fresh energy to the table. The crisp combat animation, with the incredible fast pacing, and confident tone was too good, and provided some spectacular character development for the new veteran.

This episode explores the home base and heals from the trauma. The relaxed pacing paired with soft animation, shifts the tone to a comforting slice of life, offering some wonderful character development for Kanesada as a commander.

This is some absolute peak top-level animation from the studio. The battle is just a continuous rush of adrenaline paired with breathless pacing and a chaotic tone that provided some unforgettable character development for Tonbokiri.
