I really enjoyed this episode because it revealed more about the world and its backstory. I was surprised to learn that it's not just the main team protecting history—there are many other squads and members working behind the scenes as well. That really expanded the world for me and made it even more interesting.

This episode explores the home base and heals from the trauma. The relaxed pacing paired with soft animation, shifts the tone to a comforting slice of life, offering some wonderful character development for Kanesada as a commander.

Di episode ini akhirnya mereka menyelesaikan misi dengan baik dan kembali ke tempat asalnya tetapi episode ini adalah sebagai penghela nafas setelah melalui misi berat. Pacing melambat yg justru sangat bagus setelah beberapa episode sebelumnya mengalami pace yg cukup cepat

Episode Context

A deliberate downshift from the battlefield. Episode 6 pulls the camera away from ufotable's signature action spectacle and turns it inward, focusing on the emotional aftermath that combat leaves behind. Izuminokami Kanesada takes center stage here, wrestling with the weight of leadership and the cost of the decisions he's made. With Tonbokiri sidelined from injuries, the stakes feel personal rather than epic. The pacing is contemplative and measured, this is a breather episode by design, and it earns that space. Expect quieter conversations, internal conflict, and character moments that flesh out warriors who've mostly been defined by their swords up to this point. If you've been wanting more depth from the cast beyond the spectacle, this is the episode that delivers on that front. The Citadel is exactly what it sounds like, a place to recover.
