This episode introduces a powerful new enemy that even the four of them aren't confident they can defeat. During the battle, it's clear that the enemy isn't just incredibly strong, but also just as fast, making every fight feel intense. Yagen Toushirou also finds himself in a tough situation. Will he be able to make it through?

This episode focused on navigating Edo safely and was quite and highly atmospheric. The slow burn pacing meant the flashy animations had to take a backseat, but the suspenseful tone aided in subtle character development regarding the immense weight of their duty.
