This season it’s art.
Souma faces a much sterner test while working at Kojiro Shinomiya’s new Japanese branch. This environment demands perfection and high-level efficiency, forcing Souma to struggle and adapt in a way that feels like a necessary step in his evolution as a chef.
The series pivots quickly to the "Stagiaire" arc, a first-year externship program. Though the pacing remains rushed, it provides a valuable opportunity for character growth, specifically through the professional partnership between Souma and Hisako
The Autumn Elections conclude, shifting the focus to how the intense competition has shaped the characters' professional futures. A new three-way rivalry is born, and the episode emphasizes that even the most talented chefs must learn from one another.
The grand tournament reaches its conclusion with a triple-threat match. While the pacing feels exceptionally brisk, the episode succeeds by providing meaningful backstory for Ryo and Alice, deepening their dynamic and showing their mutual growth.
Preparation for the grand final begins, focusing on sourcing the finest ingredients. Soma must innovate outside his comfort zone to compete against two culinary prodigies, setting the stage for a dramatic, high-stakes final showdown.
The second semifinal presents a contrast between Akira’s aromatic spices and Ryo’s aggressive seafood mastery. Although the pacing feels rushed, it delivers a surprising result that shakes up the expected tournament format.
The highly anticipated grudge match between Soma and Subaru finally takes place. The episode consistently showcases an intense duel of wits, proving that true culinary creativity and passion can overcome mechanical, soulless methodology
This episode dedicates time to Soma's preparation against Subaru’s cheating methods. Soma’s introspection regarding his own cooking philosophy provides narrative depth, while the support from his peers builds significant emotional stakes.
Subaru Mimasaka appears as a deeply unsettling yet impressive antagonist. His ability to track, mimic, and perfect an opponent's dish creates genuine tension, turning this episode into a perfect setup for a highly personal grudge match.
The focus shifts to a burger-themed duel between Akira and Hisako. While the match feels brief, the episode provides deep insight into character motivations and introduces Subaru, whose unique psychological methods add a new layer of tension.
This episode highlights a duel between two polar opposites who surprisingly share hidden similarities. The character development for Ryo and the brief, intriguing glimpse of Erina make this a captivating watch, supported by stunning visual displays.
The season returns with high intensity, diving straight into the main tournament bracket. The fast yet balanced pacing preserves the series' signature comedy and culinary excitement, particularly through the hilarious reactions of the judges.
I really like how the season ends on a note that feels rewarding without pretending the journey is over.. Watching Soma continue learning, even after everything he's been through, is one of the reasons I enjoy him as a protagonist. The episode also leaves me looking forward to whatever challenge comes next, and I think that's exactly how a season finale should feel 😊😊
Seeing Soma work under Shinomiya again immediately brought back memories from the training camp 😂 This episode feels less about flashy dishes and more about adapting to a professional kitchen, which I found surprisingly interesting. It also reminds me that being a great chef isn't only about individual talent, you have to work with everyone around you too. I really enjoyed that perspective.
Starting the Stagiaire arc honestly felt refreshing! Instead of another cooking competition, the story shifts into a real working environment where teamwork suddenly becomes just as important as cooking skills. I like this change because it shows a completely different side of being a chef. Soma and Hisako also make a surprisingly fun pair, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they'll handle everything together.
I thought this was a really satisfying way to wrap up the Autumn Elections. Rather than making it feel like everything ends with one competition, the episode also hints that this is only another step in everyone's journey. I especially liked how it reminds us that every challenge is a chance to keep improving. It left me feeling excited instead of feeling like the story was over 😊
The final round is finally here! I enjoyed how the episode spends more time building the atmosphere instead of rushing through the cooking. Watching Soma, Akira, and Ryo tackle the same ingredient with completely different ideas is one of my favorite things about this series. It really shows how there's never just one "right" answer in cooking, and that's what keeps it so fun to watch.
I like that this episode takes a little break before the final battle and shows how everyone prepares in their own way. It reminds me that talent alone isn't always enough, especially when everyone at this stage is already incredibly skilled. Seeing Soma trying to approach the challenge from a different angle was really interesting, and it made me even more excited for the finale 😆
The atmosphere feels completely different here, and I honestly loved it. Akira and Ryo both have such distinctive cooking styles that I couldn't even guess how things would turn out 😅😅 I also like how the episode keeps the excitement going without giving away too much. Now I'm even more hyped to see the final round..
