Synopsis
Taiki Inomata is the first person in the gym every morning, arriving long before the rest of his high school, supposedly to practice badminton. In reality, he's there because Chinatsu Kano, second-year basketball star, way out of his league; uses the same gym at the same hour. That's basically the entire premise of Ao no Hako, and honestly, it doesn't need to be more than that. This 25-episode TV series from Telecom Animation Film takes the simple tension of sharing space with your crush and stretches it into something genuinely warm without rushing anything. Taiki isn't some loser pining from the sidelines either; he's serious about badminton, she's serious about basketball, and the show respects both of their ambitions equally. The romance builds through small moments: brief conversations, shared routines, the kind of proximity that makes your heart rate spike when you're sixteen. There's a love polygon element that adds complications, but the core is just two athletes who keep showing up early and slowly figuring each other out. If you liked the way Cross Game wove sports and romance together without making either feel like an afterthought, or how Suzuka captured the awkward rhythm of high school crushes, this hits a similar frequency. It's quiet where a lot of shounen romance is loud, and it earns its emotional moments through patience rather than melodrama. The sports scenes have real weight to them, the character development feels natural, and the whole thing just captures that specific ache of wanting someone you see every day but can't quite reach.

the second I understood it was romance I started watching it. it also has my fav sport badminton. recommended for people who like slow - burn romance

It was a decent way to set up the next season, but it was such a cliffhanger for the wait for s2.
My personal favorite rom-com anime, theres not a single character that you could actually hate, which makes it even more fun to watch.
There's so much to look forward to for this anime. It's one of the best romance anime in the modern era. I think it's pretty underrated too. The manga was even more popular during its release than I feel with the reception of the anime. I believe as time goes on it will slowly be accepted as one of the better romance out there, similar to the reception tsuki ga kirei got
This was the most memorable episode of Blue Box that cemented my high rating for it. Everything about this episode was so well done. It really highlighted the pain of rejection, something that's often a joke about or not explored at all and feels good romance. And in this case it wasn't an over dramatic rejection or edgy brush-off either. This episode showcases the side of rejection the best and I love it.
This anime manages both Romance and sports there is not too munch Romance or too much sports they both are managed equally.
Siento que en este capítulo se avanzp todo lo que no vimos en los anteriores 3 o 4, sufris con los personajes y al mismo tiempo te alegras por ellos, es un cierre muy abierto pero al mismo tiempo entiendo que dejan una buena base para la segunda temporada. En general una serie buena dentro de su género.
Las dos caras del amor, llore con ella y pese a todo, es un must watch definitivamente, todos tenemos que sufrir aquí por igual, dentro de todo me alegra que al menos hay una determinación clara de Taiki
Estamos a nada de terminar y Taiki esta en la inopia y creo que nosotros también como espectadores, ya llegados hasta aca quiero ver que van a hacer con el final de temporada
Por fin vemos la decisión de Taiki!! O no? Mas personajes nuevos y Hina gana una aliada y .... Taiki tambien?
Creo que por primera vez vemos claramente que piensa Chinatsu respecto a Taiki, vemos un nuevo personaje que seguro va a mover la trama y la verdad estoy cuestionando como va a terminar todo.
Episodio de ver, el festival se termina y maa eventos inesperados surgen para todos, los rumores de cierta relación se fortalecen y Kyo siendo un gran amigo ayuda a Taiki en su dicotomia.
Planes inesperados en el festival por todos lados y fanservice para los que apoyan a ambas chicas, aquí ya nos metemos de lleno en el festival escolar y quedamos con el cliffhanger al final.
Gran partido de Taiki, si te gusta el lado deportivo de la serie este sin duda es un must watch.
Episodio mas lento e introspectivo dedicado a Taiki y sus conflictos internos y el badminton, el ritmo es mas lento y no vemos mucho avance a comparación del resto.
No se si decir que no pasa mucho porque no es cierto, vemos mucho progreso de los prota pero se siente lento, excepto el final, no pude evitar poner el otro de inmediato.
El capítulo mejor animado en lo que va del anime y sin duda uno de los capítulos de plata mas lindos que he visto, lloré de ternura, si queres algo relajante y que te haga sentir bonito, no saltarlo
Este es un "must watch" de la serie, como van conta do la historia me parece que fue ingenioso y mas realista que lo que usualmente pasa en otros animes de este género, en resumen drama, tensión y seguramente aca la audiencia tomará bandos.
Nuevo opening! Nos cuentan la historia de Karen y Hyodo, un poco de una relación mucho mas madura pero de esfuerzo para ambos, ademas Karen aparece como una guía para Taiki y su relación con Chinatsu.
