The romantic tension is slowly starts to building up! And that unexpected incident really ahifted the story to more engaging, tense pacing. The animation during the play was gorgeous. Taiki's leadership qualities actually reflected in this episode!

Taiki is such a hard worker, trying to help his class while still hitting the gym. Seeing everyone in different costumes was so fun! The tension between the sports goals and the "normal" high school life is handled so well. I just want them all to be happy!

This episode surprised me. I'm also curious about Chinatsu's thoughts on Taiki and Hina. It seems from Chinatsu's facial expression that she didn't expect the drama within the drama to happen. The pacing is good, the storyline flows freely.

Okay, no way that is ever happening. Not believing it one bit. And that ball earlier was obvious foreshadowing to, yes, another cliche. But this one is worse than the other one. If Taiki doesn't decide soon, he's going to end up two timing them forever.

Taiki said “character development” and meant sweat, tears, and internal screaming.

This episode feels soft to the heart. Visuals of the sunset are breathtaking. Suspense as Hina finally gathers the courage to speak her heart.

Watching Taiki try to balance his badminton drills with the awkwardness of practicing a romantic play with Hina is pure gold. But the cute jealousy drama of chinatsu was epic.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 20 of 25, this is deep into the season's back stretch where character relationships face their most defining moments. It continues directly from Episode 19's festival setup, escalating Taiki's personal growth and the interpersonal tension that has been building across the cultural festival arc. With only five episodes remaining, this installment is clearly positioning key relationship dynamics — especially around Hina — for payoffs that the final stretch will need to deliver on.
