That practice match was INSANE! Seeing Taiki face off against someone who actually challenges his mindset was a great wake up call. Chinatsu being there to support him, even silently, changes his entire game. The way she looks at him from the balcony? My heart actually melted.

Felt like Taiki was lonely with everyone around him progressing. The pacing was slow but the story is building up. But I like how Taiki navigate himself between his "love" life and in sports.

The pace is slow but still enjoyable. There isn't much significant development, instead Taiki experiences a crisis of confidence. The animation this time is very good, perfectly drawn. Still uses a lot of close-ups of the characters' faces.

The air is so stuffy in this episode. With so many emotions out there in the wild, everything and everyone is just kind of wandering about, hoping to find some resolution. And Hina as usual riling Taiki up which doesn't really help!

The side characters are TIRED of this slow burn and honestly same.

This episode feels a bit lonely. The graphics of the empty gym are poetic. Suspense as Chinatsu reflects on her true feelings for Taiki.

The tension is insane because Taiki is back on the same court as Yusa, the guy who defeated him earlier. Plus, seeing the banter between Haryu and his rival Hyodo adds that perfect energy in the mix.

Episodio mas lento e introspectivo dedicado a Taiki y sus conflictos internos y el badminton, el ritmo es mas lento y no vemos mucho avance a comparación del resto.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the season's two-thirds mark, Episode 17 continues threads from the Cultural Festival Arc established in Episode 16's 'Unfair Woman,' deepening the emotional groundwork laid during the festival while pivoting toward the competitive pressures ahead. Taiki's internal conflict here serves as a bridge between the relationship-focused festival episodes and the sport-driven intensity likely coming in Episode 18, 'I Know.' This is a crucial connective episode that translates interpersonal developments into personal stakes.
