The plot hits the ground running at an alarming speed, instantly establishing Eiji's dark past and his god-like domain power. Character designs heavily carry over Sakae Esuno’s signature style—featuring wide, expressive eyes and sharp chin profiles that mirror Future Diary . Visuals are incredibly striking, utilizing sharp crimson hues and high-contrast dark clouds to illustrate the apocalyptic "Great Destruction" backdrop. Specific Moment: The sudden, jarring shift when Rin pulls out a giant knife to assassinate Eiji, instantly setting a highly erratic and chaotic tone for the series.

ARRGHH, WHY?! Yet another anime with lackluster and unsatisfying ending?! I swear writing had took a free fall here, I mean yes it wrapped the anime in a somewhat acceptable way, but I swear none of them has the balls to show consequences! So plot holes still in the air and the journey itself felt grinded into meaningless dust.

Episode 9 is where the genuine mind-fuckery happens and you realize that Gennai motivations and his goals are not might even that out of possibility, I can see myself agreeing with the guy. While some plot lines are far too cliched to take seriously, it's when you consider who holds the wish that makes this show engaging.

I'd say they did a unique job of wrapping the main villain here. Gennai as a character is a typical one dimension villain, but it's how his presence affect the others around him including Sena and Eiji he's most dangerous at. Pacing and the tension building since previous episodes are addressed here, but not nearly enough to sink on the emotional depth of it.

Well, now I get it why everyone hesitate to fully trust Eiji. Considering his backgrounds and what he claimed he had to do was completely unreasonable. Then again, we already know he's not a conventional MC who's in the right. Pace back on track, animation quality maintained, overall, a good episode.

Just when I thought this anime couldn't get more rushed, they do this. Plot pacing too fast? I can deal with that, but forcing character chemistry too fast? That's a big no for me. I can somewhat understand Iyo is sheltered and probably has unrealistic expectations, but this is literally the second time she spent some time with Eiji. Slightly unbearable.

Major exposure for important plot point here as the focus from UN shifted into a unexpected new yet familiar threat to Eiji. While writing and animation stays high quality, pace are all over the place. A little bit of fanservice too, but nothing too crazy.

A tense and emotional episode not from our main characters, but the civilians instead. You would hold a grudge too if you were in their position, but thankfully Eiji did what he could to change that even using force to do so. Nice character development arc for EIji and animation were above the standard of it's time, nice episode.

I wonder if Eiji did ever set some conditions when he took over as the king, because clearly the other FIngers are not solid to support him. 3rd episode seems really gives the image of how much of a threat and hated Orders are by the regular people, a nice touch on world-building exposure.

Episode 10 shifts its focus toward Eiji’s confidence and determination as reality itself starts becoming increasingly unstable. The idea of distortion is used both literally and thematically, with characters struggling to hold onto their identities and beliefs while the situation around them becomes more chaotic. The episode balances action with character development reasonably well, showing Eiji becoming more proactive rather than simply reacting to events. Some scenes are intentionally bizarre, which fits the series’ style, although they can occasionally feel confusing. What keeps the episode engaging is the growing sense that the conflict is reaching a breaking point. By the end, it feels like the story is preparing for its final stretch, with larger consequences looming over every decision the characters make.

After several episodes of escalating battles, Episode 9 slows things down slightly to focus on revelations that reshape the audience’s understanding of the story. Hidden motivations, past events, and secrets connected to Eiji’s wish begin coming to the surface. This episode works best when it embraces the mystery element because it finally starts answering questions that have been hanging over the series since the beginning. Some of the reveals are predictable, but others genuinely help make the larger narrative clearer. The episode also does a decent job showing how different characters interpret the truth differently, which adds some complexity to the ongoing conflict. While not as action-heavy as the previous episode, it is arguably more important because it provides context that makes future events more meaningful.
