The plot focuses deeply on Iyo's unique precognitive abilities as she tries to guide Eiji through a complex battlefield matrix. Character designs look sharp under fire, with tattered clothing and dirt-stained faces adding a layer of gritty realism. I'd say they did a unique job of wrapping the main villain here. Gennai as a character is a typical one dimension villain, but it's how his presence affect the others around him including Sena and Eiji he's most dangerous at. Pacing and the tension building since previous episodes are addressed here, but not nearly enough to sink on the emotional depth of it.
Episode 8 is where Big Order fully commits to being an action series. The build-up from previous episodes finally pays off as multiple factions collide and the conflict becomes much larger than Eiji’s personal struggles. There is a constant sense of urgency throughout the episode, with characters being forced into battle before they are fully prepared. While the action scenes are entertaining and visually energetic, the episode sometimes moves so quickly that certain developments feel rushed. Still, the large-scale confrontation helps make the world feel more dangerous and raises the stakes considerably. What I liked most was seeing different Order abilities interact during combat instead of simply being explained through exposition. It is not the deepest episode, but it is definitely one of the most exciting so far.
