This episode was interesting because, we had the welcome race and what goes along with it. It's also Onoda's first time participating in a group race of any kind. It's interesting to see how the dynamics work, we see characters whose interests are very clear and diverse. Everyone has their own complexes about themselves, which isn't obvious, but was clear enough that you can get a sense of it. It's also good that they have a character like Naruko because he's so bright, it helps balance out the jitters that Onoda was feeling, which made it wholesome.

Watching Onoda struggle honestly made me cheer for him even more. Things don't always go smoothly, and that's what makes his journey feel realistic. Even during difficult moments, he never loses the passion that makes him stand out. I also appreciate how every character gets a chance to shine instead of focusing on only one person.

Shunsuke was right, they are just amateurs to understand. Sakamichi is now understanding why having a road racer bike is key for this race. It's so good to watch. This episode gave hope to Sakamichi. I can't wait for the next episode.
