To Love Ru

Overall, wholesome ending. It's a romcom anime, you can't expect a dramatic ending or massive plot twist. This anime was one the few that I had the physical copy of given by my older brother, not exactly a good thing to give to a puberty boy but hell I am glad I grew up watching all kinds of anime including To Love Ru.

Tension and stakes getting higher for Rito when suddenly he's shouldering the fate of humanity in his shoulders without any warning. The change in his attitude and slow realization of who Lala is to him is really endearing to be honest, Lala has changed Rito's life after all.

The most enjoyable filler episode so far, seeing different kinds of Lala was really endearing, especially the shy Lala gap moe against her usual genki-ko! Also glad we're getting back on track to the actual main plot as I have had enough of fillers at this point.

If you're not familiar with Japanese folklore and samurai stuff, none of the jokes in this episode will land. Putting Saruyama on the spotlight for a filler episode is fine and all, but the jokes and trope being used is getting repetitive or obsucre, taking the fun and joy out of it.

You see, this is what I like. Fanservice AND meaningful character development! We hardly had any emotional moment from past episodes so seeing a moment of solidarity from Kotegawa gave the anime a little of depth to the characters. Heartwarming!

Huh, unexpectedly lighthearted and relaxed episode without any forced fanservice. It's honestly a nice cooling down from all the shenanigans from the previous episodes, runnning an inn for aliens.

...I am at loss for words and I don't even know where should I start addressing things from. It's chaotic and the comedy material used were so absurd I can't even enjoy it. I'm just glad Magical kyoko is an entirely seperate show from the actual plot. Mojak is ass.

Tokugawa treasure and goddamn entrance to Atlantis?! Where the hell is Rito's house located man?! Jokes aside, I think this episode has a nice balance of comedy and fanservice. Though I'm sure King Gwingund don't feel the same, bro hibernated for thousands of years and got wiped out in a blink.

Feels bad for Saruyama, bro literally catching strays at every turn and Lala didn't even ask for his consent first to send him out as a 'souvenir'. Then again, this is the first episode that puts him at the center somewhat and surely his suffering are nothing against what Rito went through on a daily basis.

Job market so bad even aliens had to do some pretty outrageous things lol. Filler like this is not too enjoyable when I was younger but now that I have experienced how hard it is these aliens trying to do, It became relateable and funny. A really lighthearted episode.

Stuff are getting rougher and rougher to watch, and it's not even the plot but the filler itself that made it so hard to enjoy. Run is a really likeable girl, but she's portrayed for being too much at all time in the first season. If you oshi this girl, have some patience, the second season glow up is worth it.

The ending was fun and had some wholesome moments. Although the series felt a bit longer because of many filler episodes. overall—nice standalone series. 8/10

The situation gets tense as Lala's father comes to Earth. It is interesting to see what he comes up with. Overall — fun to watch, 9/10

...Yeah, this came out of nowhere. I did not remember a single thing from this episode even though I technically watched it years ago, that's just how boring and meaningless this episode is. I wholeheartedly support you to skip this episode.

Even though Lala just protected him from Gid, this bro really goes after another girl. Kinda dickish of Rito to be honest, but then again what did I say? Don't take this anime too serious or you'll suck the enjoyment out of it. Cringe are a must in this genre bro.

The episode was fun; Lala has a different personality. The incident helped Rito realize his true feelings. Overall - Fun to watch, 7/10

Finally, an actual plot with stakes and tension on it! Gid's introduction into the story serves as the driver for Rito's journey to become a better man. Though I do have to say he's unexpectedly cute, just like a troublemaker neighboorhood kid you find annoying but can't really hate for real.

All that running actually paid off in the end. This whole episode was a huge "You can achieve anything with the power of friendship". Honestly, in my opinion, not a bad ending. I didn't expect anything more from an anime that only got back to the plot an episode before this one.

I love the title of this episode; it makes it sound so ominous. I've gotta say that the pacing really peaked with this episode, and so did the plot. The game Lala's dad decided to play has some really serious stakes! I can't believe I'm actually a bit hyped for the final episode.

Fullblown fanservice episode, doesn't matter which girl you support or even the side characters. Hilarious, lighthearted and chaotic, as a romcom anime you couldn't ask for more. Seriously, don't take this anime too serious and just enjoy the flow, it would be unfair to give a bad rating when the genre itself demands it.
