The Faraway Paladin

Mini redemption arc for Will in this episode and a pretty satisfactory final battle too. Nothing too crazy but animation was pretty decent for this series, so is the storytelling and pacing. Ep ends on a good note, fitting end to the season imo.

An action packed episode with intense and emotional moments. Though the battle scene was short and kinda ended weird, it did well at capturing the emotional impact it had on Will. Will still has a lot to learn as this ep exposes his flaws in his mindset.

Bishop Bagley and Prince Ethel seemed kinda shady at first, but I like how this ep shows more on their character and that they aren’t bad people. A lot of character dialogue going on but I enjoy the storytelling and the flow of the story, good ep overall imo.

Good visuals and chill ep… for the most part. Will getting another opportunity to flex his skills, but being put under the spotlight may not be a good thing for him? We get to see a bit of the inner politics of Whitesails and how it may affect Will’s journey.

Pretty chill episode with new character introductions. May be a boring ep for some as pacing slows down for storytelling and character conversations, I don’t mind it tho. Not a skip, but you can def fastforward some parts.

An emotional episode that captures the loss and grievance of Meneldor and his resolution for atonement and change. EP7 shows the dangers of demons to humanity while showcasing Will’s strength against them.

Interesting episode, visuals and pacing are satisfactory. We finally get to see other people and a glimpse of the dire situation some are facing. Makes you wonder what humanity is like in this era of the story. Good end to the ep, transitions well to the next.

I liked the climax of the battle against Stagnate, very decisive and straightforward. An emotional ep nonetheless, very bittersweet but it serves its purpose to the story. Ep5 does a good job at transitioning the series to the second half, so going forward, it’s adventure time 😏

My boy Will is growing stronger every episode. Good ep with decent fight scenes and glad seeing Will finally getting a power up. Pacing of the story is still good imo and may the bad guy be beaten by the next ep hopefully.

Massive loredrop of an episode lol. MC’s coming of age has allowed his ‘parents’ to reveal the truth of his and their origins. I like the worldbuilding and pacing so far, next episode boutta be intense.

Somewhat action-packed episode with a certain ‘twist’. The series is still hiding a lot from us, especially with the origins of our MC and his undead caretakers. Fight animation is average (don’t expect JJK animation-level fight scenes), but still decent nonetheless.

Definitely not your generic isekai series, this one seems to honor the fantasy theme more. So far, world building and introduced characters are pretty good, still a lot of mysteries left to uncover. Overall good first episode, recommended for fantasy/adventure lovers.

Lovely final episode for this series' first season. Despite the limited animation as a whole, the worldbuilding, soundtrack and charcter development for Will and his companions made this show a very recommended and interesting watch. Looking forward to rewatch Season 2!

A very intense battle episode showing both the pros and cons of Will's character as a whole. The animation here has improved a bit compared to previous episodes, so it's a satisfying watch.

A really fun episode showing the quirks and differences with Will and his motley crew of adventurers. It was also fun seeing more points-of-views of the other key characters as well.

This episode, like with most episodes here, have gorgeous backgrounds, however, the animation isn't the best, with stiff transitions as well as awkward CGI. Nevertheless, it focuses more on worldbuilding, showing out the problems Will is facing as a paladin.

Another episode that focuses on worldbuilding, Will's present journey also brings him connections to his guardians' pasts. Learning about the current politics of the present world he's in was well-presented, too.

Really good introduction and background narration of Menel's story, and as well as showing the viewers how Will's journey, as well as duties, continue. The animation gets down another notch, but the worldbuilding and character writing make up for that.

An episiode better visually than usual, probably because it focused more on backgrounds as well as showing Will's continuing journey, especially with a new character coming to the fore.

Really great episode so far, even if it was filled with dialogue and limited animation still. The post-credits scene were an unexpected bonus, and one can't help but wish Will all the best.
