The Faraway Paladin: The Lord of the Rust Mountains

The fight continues with intensity in this episode. Extra elements are thrown abruptly to the plot and it only deepens the effect of the narrative flow of this episode. I personally like the fight scenes here. It seems more interesting with great visualisations and foreshadowing. It prepares the audience for the finale.

The finale lives up to our reputations. It channels our great anticipation and works solidly with the flow of the story. It gives us a fulfilled notion as the narrative is coming to an end. The animation and the pace are good in this episode. Everything felt rather comforting. The music direction at the end was lit too!

The great anticipation of the battle between the dragon and the party begins. I personally like the sharing of identities between the dragon and the Paladin. This scene is well directed and potentially submits to the overall narrative of this episode. The action flow and the pace are good here, and the animation is superb.

The party emerges into the doorway to the dragon. The build-up scenes are well-directed. The action is great in this episode. Ru’s indomitable spirit is on full display as he takes on the general. Although it is not like those action animes but still quite detailed. The party emerges before its foe. The foreshadowing is used nicely to heighten the tension here.

The character of Dinelind was interesting. Her village was greatly affected by the Dragon. Although the journey was a perilous one, the demonstration of helping everything on the road is shown nicely here. The story narrative shifts in a different way here. The pace is a little slow in this episode. I personally like the comedy between Dine and Menel. Their teasing of each other provides ample comic relief to the story.

The journey starts with a swift notion. It gives off an adventurous vibe to the whole story. The setting is perfectly written. The action scenes are greatly directed in this episode. They hold the actual mystery that looms just underneath the plot. The pace is fast, and the animation is sweet here.

Homecoming gives a nice touch of nostalgia to the story. It is splendidly woven. The reunion scenes are nicely written. It works as a group up episode while the characters replenish themselves with armoury. The pace is a little slow here, which provides for the narrative and the plot progression.

I personally like how bold Ru has become. His character development is well written. The action scenes in this episode are nicely directed. The story progression is in action. The animation is okayish, and the pace is solid here. Let’s see how William, with other characters, would face the dragon!

Becoming the Thane of Will, Ru speeds up his progress under him and Menel. I really like their sharing of training. It works as a build-up for the character development arc in this episode. Watching Ru under his care, Will acknowledges his feelings that match those of Blood. The audience will realise its impact on the story. The pace is particularly appropriate here.

Ru’s introduction to the story is interesting. The path he chooses to be the thane of the paladin is hard, yet it portrays his unwavering spirit of change. I like how the narrative in this episode is used to display the resoluteness of the characters. The animation here feels homely, and the pace is normal, too.

The final felt emotional without overdoing it, and the ending leaves a very satisfying feeling behind.

Valacirca has such a calm but intimidating presence. Every scene with him feels very important.

The reinforcements arriving honestly gave this episode a very huge energy boost.

This episode felt heavier than usual. You can really feel the pressure building around everyone.

I weirdly enjoyed the kitchen and the preparation scenes. it makes the world feel lived in.

The boat conversation gave the group way more personality. it felt more personal.

The tension starts building a lot more here. That warning scene had me fully locked in.

The party building stuff was actually pretty fun to watch., and everyone feels useful in different ways.

Ru instantly became hard to dislike. This episode handles courage in a simple but nice way.
