Somali and the Forest Spirit

A beautiful conclusion, demonstrating just how deeply the Golem cares for Somali with him pushing himself to his limits in the golem form, and expressing to Somali how he truly feels. While not a prefect ending it finishes this chapter of their adventure aptly.

This episode starts out adorable, however the slice of life quickly gives way to tragedy as yet again the harsh nature of the world leads hunters to chase after Somali.

A strong episode providing vital flashback knowledge that helps us understand the main duo's dynamic and how they came to be the father-daughter combo we love to follow. Its also adorable that she's named after a cat

The slice of life continues, this is a very touching episode between our main pair as they grow closer in their bond, most articulated by the cooking scene. If you like the darker side of this universe, its a skippable episode, but if u want to further watch their bond grow its a must watch.

This episode again returns us to what makes this series so great, exploring how blind hatred of differences can lead to horrible outcomes articulated as the humans judge those which are not their own and that which they dont understand. Beautifully tragic episode.

After the dramatic tragedy of the last episode, this episode sees the series take a light hearted break, if you are here for the soft parts of this anime youll enjoy the pair explore a new town with more kind and soft characters. If not you'll miss very little.

This episode is truly the highlight of the series thus far, by exploring the tragic backstory of Uzoi and Haitora it articulates just how cruel this world is giving context to how harsh of a setting our main pair find themselves in

This episode further demonstrates the tragedy of the setting reminding us that there are many enemies of Somali simply due to what she is. Watching the duo learn to get along with this new pair as they venture across the desert knowing they have nefarious intentions helps demonstrate just how difficult the pairs journey will be.

This episode perhaps most strongly demonstrates that this is a Slice of Life First and not an action anime. While there are several scenes that couldve evolved into action (The Lizard appearing, the general context of where they are), all are easily defused keeping the subject light and friendly. If you are a huge fan of Slice of Life this episode shows how even action can be made cute and fluffy.

This episode continues with the mundanity of slice of life that was present in the last episode. With slow pacing as the pair explore a new location, its nice to see Somali make a new friend allowing us a better insight into her character

This episode is extremely peaceful, as the Golem learns medicine to better be able to care for Somali the plot inches forward at a snails pace.

A touching beginning of the series, brilliantly starting this touching found families adventure. Particularly enoyable for its ability to showcase their dynamic, what challenges they will face as well as introducing this interesting world. Demonstrating this ideal most apt is the scene in the tavern where the golem is told about the fate humanity has suffered, demonstrating the scale of difficulty the pair will face. While also showcasing his resolve to aid her.

This finale is a mixed bag. The berserker scene is TERRIFYING and beautiful. The chase scene is heartbreaking. The voice acting is incredible. But the ending feels safe.The show didn't give us a perfect ending. It gave us a hopeful one. Golem and Somali are still searching. They're still in danger. But they're together. And that's what matters.

This episode is devastating. The matching bracelets scene is one of the sweetest moments in the entire show—and then the show rips your heart out with the betrayal and the hunters.

Un final muy emotivo en donde vemos el desarrollo final del gólem, a quien podríamos finalmente decir que es un gólem con emociones; un verdadero padre. Lamentablemente, es un final que deja muchas cosas abiertas e inconclusas. Faltó desarrollar más el origen de humanos y el resto de criaturas, faltó ampliar el mundo y, sobre todo, faltó concluir el objetivo que se tenía desde un comienzo. Lamentablemente, el manga se detuvo a mitad de viaje, y no hay más para animar. Solo espero que la autora decida retomar el manga y que nos muestre más de esta emotiva historia.

Un episodio que empieza tranquilamente con un momento de paz entre padre e hija, pero que se ve interrumpido por lo que será el desenlace de este anime, y nos muestran lo que es el prejuicio y cómo eso lleva a odiar lo diferente. El episodio crea el escenario final, y no estoy preparado, porque no sé qué esperarme.

Un episodio en el cual nos enseñan un flashback del encuentro entre Somali y el gólem, algo muy emotivo de ver y saber lo que pasó una niña. Además juega con la tensión entre si lo que hace el golem lo hace por deber o por querer. A estas alturas sus acciones demuestran algo más que deber y se acercan a lo que sería un padre.

Un episodio tranquilo que nos entrega un momento más íntimo entre padre e hija, además del reencuentro con personajes de episodios pasados. Aunque no se avanza en la trama principal, hacía falta un episodio así después de toda la carga emocional de episodios anteriores

Un episodio que nos muestra un vistazo al pasado y nos enseñan a los humanos desde la mirada de una desconocida hasta ahora, pero el anime logra que conectemos con ella y la historia. Detrás de lo horrible que son los humanos se nota hay mucho miedo, miedo a lo desconocido. Pero el episodio nos enseña que los lazos que unen los corazones son capaces de superar eso.

Un episodio en el que se finaliza el arco del desierto y se da inicio al arco de la aldea de las brujas, aunque la transición de uno a otro se siente antinatural, pasando de uno a otro completamente diferente. También vemos por primera vez un despliegue de las capacidades físicas del gólem.
