Synopsis

Fronted by their charismatic leader Yosuke, the world-famous co-ed music group SI-VIS sells out arenas across the globe. Now picture those same performers secretly channeling the energy of thousands of screaming fans into actual combat power to fight mysterious forces threatening the world. The twist — every battle looks like a concert to the audience. Nobody in the crowd knows the light show they're losing their minds over is a genuine fight for survival. The group itself is a solid ensemble: Yosuke leading the charge, the enigmatic μ keeping everyone guessing, strategist Soji calling plays behind the scenes, dynamic performer Seiren holding it together on stage, and June, the newcomer still figuring out how all of this works. The early episodes do a good job laying out the rules of this world — how the power conversion works, what the threats actually are, and why secrecy matters — without drowning you in exposition. If you liked the music-meets-mecha energy of Macross Frontier or the "idol girls punch things with song power" absurdity of Symphogear, this is in that same lane but with a co-ed cast and a fresh power system. Studio VOLN handles the action sequences, and character designs come from artist Hidari, which gives everything a distinctive look. It's 24 episodes, original story with no source material to spoil you, and the tone is action-packed without taking itself too seriously. Worth checking out this season.

I really felt that climax where Yosuke and Apollo clashed fists and the two ideas just blended. That was some powerful stuff.
Honestly I'm still processing Samael's whole deal. One minute he's super evil the next he's helping Apollo save Xenos. It felt a little rushed but I guess it makes sense in the context of him wanting to die. His dialogue with Apollo was actually pretty good though and I like how it changed Apollo's perspective on things.
