Sengoku BASARA: End of Judgement

For a finale this was not what I was expecting - honestly it was underwhelming. I have no words to describe my disappointment.

Lot's of emotion through the fights and I think that makes the episode way better than the last two. I think it touches on the humanity that comes with being at war with one another as humans. That even in those moments there is still empathy.

I don't know how to feel, I was expecting a lot more in terms of combat but that was lacking. I did enjoy the dialogue though, there was a lot of passion there but other than that it fell flat.

I was looking forward to this episode but it appeared to be a bit mid. I was expecting a lot more but it really was not that exciting.

This episode is so crucial in my opinion, it's literally the calm before the storm, you can tell that something is coming, by all the planing and having to strategies that all parties are doing. The conversations, grow in intensity and music definitely adds to that. There is a level of suspense and I can't wait to see what the next episode has in place.

Now this is what I am talking about, the action, the suspense and the character development here is unmatched. I like how everything is unfolding and how there are twists and turns. As the viewer you think you know where things are going then bang- plot twist.

It is good to see Yukimiura character develop, him understanding that he can't lead from an emotional place and that being a leader takes a lot more. Good episode overall.

This was such a good episode, beautifully curated, the dialogue was amazing, the fighting as well and as a viewer you getting a clear picture of this war that's brewing.

For all the build up from the last episode, the final battle was pretty underwhelming. Not really a whole lot of fighting, mainly just them trying to reason with each other. With how the battle played out, it just fell flat of what I was expecting. In short, this huge, world-changing battle it was hyped up to be didn't really change anything. The second half is just the characters getting on with their lives and preparing for their next battles. Overall, this anime wasn't terrible, but it wasn't that amazing either. It was sluggish and confusing to follow. It has its share of great moments, but for the most part, it fell a bit short for me. At the very least, it did make want to check out the other Sengoku Basara anime, which I will! One thing left to say, from the words of Date Masamune - "Let's Party!"

Definitely better than the last two episodes in my opinion. The battles in this episde had more weight to them, with better pacing and more emotion to them all around. They're not amazing, but they are fun to watch, nevertheless. The slow melodrama is prevalent here, but I can forgive it. Solid episode overall, one that sets up the final battle between Ishida Mitsunari and Tokugawa Ieyasu.

This episode continues with the battle of Sekigahara. The first half is the battle between Tenkai and most of the characters. It's not as crazy as I thought, but it does have its share of thrilling moments. Afterwards, it's just a bunch of dialogue, followed by a few battles and then setting up for the battles for probably the next episode. If I'm honest, it's disappointing. With the way that the last episode was building up for this one, it fell short of what I was expecting. I hope the last two episodes make up for this one!

It's so good to see War God's character with each episode, I like who his name is not a representation of his true nature. His such a sound man and that's the balance that is needed for such an action filled series.

I enjoyed this episode as well, I can tell that the events taking place are a build up to something big. I liked the narration as well as it pulled me back. I was less confused about what's happening.

And here we go, the battle of Sekigahara has begun! The buildup before the battle was amazing. From the major characters to the soldiers were readying up with a fiery determination in their eyes to the signals that indicate they're about to attack, it was an incredible spectacle! Can't say the same about the battle itself though. For most of it, it's clunky, incohesive, and at times, boring. There are some great parts, but it just feels underwhelming overall. The last part, however, is quite a spectacle and made the battle more high stakes. Hopefully the rest of the battle will get better from here!

We're back to mostly just dialogue for this episode, as well as setting up for the Battle of Sekigahara. It appears everyone is getting ready for this grand battle, one that both Ishida and Ieysau says will determine the fate of Japan. It's also great to see Masamune and Yumikura being respectable rivals, compared to what happened in episode 5. The speeches from both Ishida and Ieyasu also had that epic feel to it. I like the way that it's set up for this one final battle. I sure hope this battle that's being set up will also be epic!

Now this is a great episode! We see some plot twists as well as some alliance changes here and there in the first half. The second half, however, was amazing. The fight scenes in the battle were intense and at times frightening. It definitely had more punch to it than the most of the battles before this. Things just got interesting after this episode, that's for sure!

A pretty slow-paced episode at the first half. It's mainly a lot of dialogue, and some soul-searching as well from the different characters. The last episode does pick up and we get to see some cool, albeit brief fight scenes. It's also great seeing Date Masamune back to his usual coolheaded, proud self as opposed to being bloodythirsty for revenge. Another solid episode with some great character development, though I do hope to see some real action soon!

I like the pace in this episode, we see how the characters deal with aftermath that took place. I enjoyed the dialogues that highlighted themes such as grief, anger and vengeance. This episode was well balanced.

We finally got to see a classic from the old Sengoku Basara - Sanada Yukimura and Date Masamune duke it out once more. However, it's much darker and more unsettling, as Masamune was pretty much consumed by rage, ready kill his longtime rival. The rest of the episode is again Ieyasu and Ishida (with his allies) recruiting other clans for their own cause. I don't mind the slow burn, but I do wish they'd stop constantly switching scenes so quickly all the time!

I personally didn't enjoy the fight between Ieyasu and Ishida. It's more about emotions, drama, and dialogue more than the actual action. I expected a good fight because it's the finale.
