Lot's of emotion through the fights and I think that makes the episode way better than the last two. I think it touches on the humanity that comes with being at war with one another as humans. That even in those moments there is still empathy.

Definitely better than the last two episodes in my opinion. The battles in this episde had more weight to them, with better pacing and more emotion to them all around. They're not amazing, but they are fun to watch, nevertheless. The slow melodrama is prevalent here, but I can forgive it. Solid episode overall, one that sets up the final battle between Ishida Mitsunari and Tokugawa Ieyasu.

I did enjoy Otani and Kojuro's fight. Tadakatsu and Yoshihiro's fight wasn't much of a fight. Chosokabe and Mori's fight was more of a talk than a fight. Ishida and Masumane's is just the same. As much as I want to enjoy each fight but it felt rushed and compressed to fit into one episode.
